I love these! I don’t have a wide calf somewhere in between wide and narrow, but they fit perfectly and I think they would fit someone who did have a wide calf. I wore them over skinny jeans and they did not fall down and there was room to spare. I wore them out in the snow and they don’t appear to pick up any moisture, but I did spray them with boot protector spray, and also put hairspray on the bottom soles so I wouldn’t slip. I love these boots! I was a little leery to get $70 shoes online because sizing for me is such a hit and miss. Nobody expects a woman with size 10 feet to want cute shoes. The shoes always run small. But these are *exactly* on the nose (or should I say toes). Perfect width, appropriate amount of room in the toe box, heel is snug. I will say that if you have a wider calf, measure first. There is a bit of elastic at the top, but it was still a pinch for me. Pro-tip: Don't complain about that to your personal trainer; she's now decided to up leg day. The style of the boot is sleek and polished. There are no bells and whistles here, but that also makes her classy enough for just about any outfit. They're very stiff at first, but as with all shoes it relaxes a little with wear. They arrived in great condition; no scuffs or marks, and very well shaped/padded. I also appreciate that there's a bit of rounding on the toe of the platform. When I wore platforms in the early aughts, a sharp shaped platform box could mean a face plant if you didn't goosestep. With the rounding I can walk more naturally. Overall, $70-$80 is about what I would expect to pay for this shoe, so the value is perfectly in line with the money. Read more

I have been so eager to receive these platform knee high boots. Just in time for the fall and winter weather! I'm not all that tall...I like to say I'm 5'5" but with age it appears I'm now 5'4" which poses a problem when I go to concerts which are always standing room and everyone is so tall I cannot see the stage. This elevates me nearly 3" and the whole platform is nearly 2" meaning the angle of tilt on my heels and the subsequent pain that shoots up my body is diminished, because the angle of the high heel part for me in only about 1.5". So I get to be taller without the pain of traditional high heels. I am usually a 7.5 but I think with age my feet spread out so I got a size 8 and it's plenty roomy. Once I put my orthotics in (gosh, I'm showing my age, aren't I?) these fit perfectly. I can easily go all day wearing these. I love the traditional boot style, clean, rounded toe box, goes all the way up to the knee, the zipper is high quality and even fits on over jeans. Bring on the colder weather and cooler fashion. When I ordered these boots, I wasn't sure how they would look, since they advertised square toed, which can be clumsy looking. Instead, the square toe is softly rounded, and does not stand out as I feared it might. The thick platform gives me much desired height, which goes well with the long skirts that I am fond of wearing. The faux leather looks a little bit on the rubbery side and the boots are generously cut so that they're a little bit like Wellington's. But they're wide enough so that my calf does not feel squeezed, and the boots go on easily and fit comfortably for walking. The zipper is functional, but not as easy to operate as I would hope for.
