I’ve been using the Fenix series for a while now, and this one takes things to a whole new level. The solar charging feature is amazing—it extends the battery life significantly, making it perfect for long hikes, runs, and outdoor adventures. I’ve gone on multi-day trips, and the battery has easily lasted, even with GPS and heart rate tracking constantly on. The display is gorgeous and easy to read in bright sunlight, which is crucial when you're outdoors. The durability of this watch is top-notch—it’s built like a tank but still looks sleek on the wrist. Whether you’re hiking, trail running, or just hitting the gym, it holds up beautifully. The navigation features are incredibly precise, and I love the addition of multi-sport tracking. From tracking my swim workouts to mountain biking, it does it all. Plus, the heart rate monitor and sleep tracking provide great insights into my overall fitness and recovery. What really stands out is the solar charging capability—it’s so convenient not to worry about charging it constantly. It’s a perfect blend of performance, battery life, and design. If you're looking for a high-performance watch that can handle anything you throw at it, the Garmin Fenix 8 Solar is definitely the one to go for. Worth every penny! Read more

I am replacing my 2 year old Forerunner 255 with this beautiful Fenix 8 47mm solar MIP (Memory in Pixel) display. It is a bit thicker and heavier but the touch screen is neat and all the other stuff it has is also welcome. The flashlight is handy. I got a third party Velcro band that has a finer adjustment that is also more comfortable. I went with the MIP version because the time is always displayed and I can see the time without the wrist twist movement, that really bugged me when I had an Apple Watch. As I am typing this I can check the time without my wrist angled almost out of view. 1:26PM 😀 Read more

Quality watch with high tech features. It takes a lot of time to learn how to use all the features. If you are not a high tech person, I would not recommend this watch. There are other Garmin watches that are much simpler to use and offers similar features. Read more
I purchased a Garmin Titanium DLC watch band for $300 and switched out the rubber band. Overall with the Titanium watch band, the watch is beautiful. The AMOLED display is bright and high contrast compared to my Enduro 2 which I purchased a couple of years ago. Navigating the buttons is standard Garmin and pretty easy using a combination of button presses and the touch screen. I changed the home screen to show heart rate, steps, calories, and outside temperature. At first I was struggling with the watch going into sleep mode after 8:30pm, basically turning off the high contrast AMOLED display. I corrected that by changing the watch sleep schedule to 4am to 5am. Read more
