My first PS5

I ordered this the day it released on Friday November 10th. It arrived at my house at 11:30AM on the following Tuesday. This is my first ps5, but definitely not my first PlayStation console. So far I’m very pleased with it. Was super easy and fast to set up. Will update after a month of use. This is the slim model, I love the weight and size difference between the original and this one. My only slight cons right now are that it can get loud when updating, and downloading. And you have to buy your own vertical stand. It does come with two small plastic pieces that help it stand horizontally so if that works for you then you won’t need to spend the additional $30 for the other stand. UPDATE: 12/13. I’ve had this system for about a month now and have over 160 hours played including more than a few 8+ hour gaming sessions. I haven’t had any overheating or other issues at all. I’m very happy with this system. While the console does have a 1tb hard drive I would highly recommend installing at least a 2tb heat sink. The ps5 game files are huge and you will definitely need the room if you’re downloading more than one game at a time. Read more

I received this for Christmas and have been playing on it every day. PlayStation really has been my go to gaming system for years now and they don't disappoint with the PS5. Im glad I waited for the slim version as it does not take up too much space. Also if you get the disc version I highly recommend watching Blu Ray and 4k UHD movies on it. Also it includes the DualSense controller which has to be my favorite PS controller ever made. You certainly are sucked into the game with all the PS5 has to offer. Read more

I could be wrong but I think the picture looks better than the old one. It’s a good buy if you don’t have one. The smaller one is OK. I had the older version and it’s noticeably smaller but not worth it if you own one. AS FOR COD MW3: Pay attention to your essential schedule. I’ve lost hours to his game because its just so good. It looks good and takes advantage of HDR. So many different available things to do but for sure activision is trying to figure out how to get their money out of you. A good bundle. Read more

The PS5 is the undisputed console choice. More available games than you could ever play, exceptional graphics (120fps), can be used as your smart hub to access all your favorite streaming apps (e.g., Netflix, Prime, Youtube, etc.). PS4 games work, and many have enhanced gameplay/graphics for PS5. Recommend disc version over digital so you can add your games to other consoles in the future. Memory space will be challenging over time, but you can add an external drive for storage and an internal SSID for active games for reasonable money. Read more
