It heats, has a two speed fan. The timer shuts the heater off after counting down by the hour and the fan stays on for several minutes. However; the thermostat controls does not seem to work. When the unit is powered on it displays 77. Setting a lower trip point in my case 62 degrees does not work. The thermostat seems to shut off the heat at around 78-79 degrees per two thermometers in the room. Setting other trip points, same results. Remote works okay but had to supply my own battery. The remote did not work so I need to turn it on manually. Also it is supposed to be able to fit in the socket in different directions but that does not work because the screw thing to keep it on the wall isn't strong enough. It does seem to blow hot air. Read more

Remember..... it Plugs into the wall outlet!! So the one I tried kept angling down because it was too heavy to stay plugged in all the way. That seemed dangerous from the start. Then.... it just did NOT heat up enough like it claimed. Read more
