Plus Size Dresses for Curvy Women 3 4 Sleeve Bodycon Ruffle Midi Pencil Dress

This is a plus-size ruffled pencil dress made of polyester and spandex. It comes in eight different colors. I ordered this dress for an upcoming holiday party. I don't like clingy dresses, so I was a bit nervous. Because it is made of polyester and spandex, I expected it to be snug-fitting. I usually wear XL, but I went up to 3X. I should have just gone up 1 size. Even though it's loose, the dress still looks nice, and the fabric is actually thicker than expected. It hangs nicely at the hips, and the asymmetrical front and vertical ruffle make it more eye-catching. Although it's well-made, I had trouble with the zipper getting stuck at the waistline. The seam was sewn too close to the teeth of the zipper, and the zipper pull wouldn't fit between the two sections of fabric. I also had trouble pulling the zipper closed without help. The dress is pretty stretchy, so I may just slip it over my head without unzipping it. I ordered the dress in blue, and it's a very vibrant cobalt blue, which I just love. The sleeves are 3/4 length, which I don't think is flattering for me. At least they cover up jiggly arms! Good quality for the price and very pretty. If you prefer a looser fit, order 1 size up. This is a nice dress and a good value for the price. The material has some nice stretch to it and is very comfortable. It’s stretchy enough that I can put this in without having to unzip it. It’s also decently thick, but not in a way that makes me too warm. I got it in blue and the color is nice and vibrant. The fit is pretty true to size. I am 5’3”, 160lbs, and curvy. I’m often between a L and XL. This dress is an XL and is maybe just slightly more loose than I’d like. Also, since I’m short, it maybe hits just a little longer than I’d prefer as well, but I’m fairly used to short people problems with clothes. (A petite version would be nice?) But I do like that that the gathering around the waist helps to hide my “mom belly”. I wish it carried around to the back somehow has well, but the back is just plain with no detail. When I first took this dress out of the package, I was annoyed. The side pleats were not laying right and it looked so unimpressive that I almost did not bother trying it on. I am so glad I did. The moment I put it on, everything changed. Even with my little belly, the dress shaped beautifully. My husband told me to try it with my shaper and that sealed it. It instantly became one of my new favorites. The price is excellent at thirty six dollars and the quality is much better than I expected. The fabric is thicker than many dresses in this style, which makes it perfect for fall or winter. It is definitely not a summer dress. The cut truly works for curvy figures when you choose the right size. Amazon suggested a size for me and they were exactly right. Any smaller would have been too tight and any larger would have been too big. The fit was spot on and very flattering. My only wish is that it had a kick split in the back for ease of movement. I TOTALLY "Sized up" when ordering this "Plus Size Dresses for Curvy Women 3/4 Sleeve Bodycon Ruffle Midi Pencil Dress." Anytime I see "BodyCon" in a garment's description, I look for my usual size to be a very tight fit. And since I do not care for "form-fitting" clothing, I have found that to get a nice comfortable fit, I need to size-up and in most cases the "sizing-up" works out well for me. So, that is what I did when ordering this beautifully styled Red Dress. I was totally inspired by the dress and really wanted to add it to my collection. But, the "BodyCon" part was kind of scary. Yet, when it arrived, I felt pretty good about it. So, I believe that even after a few washes, we'll be "fittin' pretty" and I'll be enjoying this sensational dress for years to come. Read more

This dress hugs you like a glove and hugs every curve. Its decently stretchy and true to size. The fabric is a bit heavy but it is definitely not see through because it is thick. The style is simple but the ruffle kinda felt like an after thought. Good quality. I really wanted it to be a deeper royal blue, it felt more bright than pictured. Read more

This is an exceptionally nice dress for Curvy Women by Bdwinz and I got it in white and a size XX-Large. Regarding the size and fit: I usually wear an XL but after reading the description, sizing recommendation and realizing that while it was a dress for curvy women, it still was a pencil, bodycon, slim fit dress, so I opted to size up one size and this XX-Large dress fits me perfect where my regular size would have been an uncomfortable and snug fit on me. And, I'm happy with my fit/\. Regarding the features: the sleeves are 3/4 length; the neckline is rounded; and the length on me is the midi length and it drops to my mid calf area and I am 5'5". The material is a good quality blend of fabrics with good stretch to it. And, even though my dress is white, there was no see through to it at all, but I will of course wear the proper undergarments. I love this beautiful dress and it pairs well with heels or kitten heels and is suitable for work, special occasions, church events, and other events that call for a well dressed attire.
