My dentist said my gums & in-between teeth are super clean.

1st, I have been using this brand of floss for years. True quality! I like that it is very fine, but strong. Plus, this floss is made with acotton type of fiber. I didn't want the wax kind, as wax type of floss doesn't clean inside your teeth well. Read more

Gets Between Tight Teeth with Ease!

jengNovember 15, 2025✓ Verified purchase

I’m really impressed with POH Unwaxed Dental Floss. It’s thin and strong, which makes it easy to slide between even my tightest teeth. Because it’s unwaxed, it actually scrapes and cleans better than regular waxed floss—perfect for getting a deeper, more thorough clean. It rarely shreds or breaks on me, and I can really feel the difference afterward. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a true deep-clean floss. Read more

Best floss for closely set teeth

R. WongNovember 5, 2011✓ Verified purchase

I have very closely set teeth, and it's difficult for me to use any kind of waxed floss because the wax makes it that much tougher to get between my teeth. Aside from that, the wax seems to defeat the purpose of scraping the sides of my teeth. I love POH's floss because it's thin enough to easily get between the gaps, and without the wax, the floss fibers really do a great job at scraping. Ever since I was given a complementary pack by my dentist, I've been hunting this exact product down, and I'm glad I found it on amazon. My only complain is that, because my teeth are so tightly set and sharp that the thread fibers tend to break while flossing. I'll typically go through 2-3 strips of floss because they keep breaking, but to strengthen it, they would have to make the floss thicker, which would then take away the benefits of the floss being this thin. As such, I really don't mind if it breaks, because it does the job well, and it's certainly cheap enough (a pack of flat, waxed floss at the grocery store costs 3x this). If I'm not mistaken, POH makes a different set of floss with a higher fiber/thread count, so that may help the problem of breaking, but I haven't tried that yet. Overall, I'm more than satisfied with this classic unwaxed floss, as no other floss I've tried even compares. Read more

Cleans well, but hard to cut floss after dispensing

Gary A DePaulOctober 26, 2025✓ Verified purchase

The POH Dental Floss Unwaxed cleans exceptionally well, but it's hard to cut floss after pulling out the needed amount. I have to keep scissors nearby to cut it, and that's annoying. I like to keep floss on me at work, but carrying around scissors everywhere isn't a good look. The floss does shred easily, but that's the trade off for getting super skinny floss that cleans under the gum line. I appreciate the minimal packaging & lack of plastic. The (glass + metal) containers are refillable, which is a plus. Read more

Strong, Thin, and Unadulterated

C. BartleyJune 16, 2025✓ Verified purchase

I just tried this floss for the first time. I am impressed. The nylon is strong, but thinner in diameter than the supermarket purchased floss that I've used before. The floss didn't jam between teeth. For those who miss the wax, try wetting the floss strand with tap water before use to get the same slippery effect. Read more

Easier flossing if you have tight contacts

AlKibDecember 27, 2025✓ Verified purchase

I have used this dental floss since I was introduced to it at a dental convention in the ‘80s. I’m a retired RDH with extremely tight contacts & had always struggled to get regular floss in between my teeth. Even waxed floss seems to be too thick, but at least it finally goes. The POH is quite thin & silky so it is much easier to use without so much struggle. If you have had this trouble in the past, I urge you to give the POH a try. If you have more space between your teeth or maybe they don’t tough each other at all, this is not for you. Read more
