I was able to acquire these at an ideal time to help with Halloween makeup application. I had to apply around the eye and the tightly woven cotton around the end was good for precise placement of the makeup. I like that these come in several sealed bags and I was able to take a few on the go with me for touchup. I would not recommend using these inside ears due to risk of poking your eardrum. Read more

Item: 500 Pieces Double Pointed Tip Cotton Swabs These come in a paper box individually packaged in smaller ziplock bags, making it easy to pull out a smaller pack of 100 and use those. They are firm and pointed on both ends with a wooden stick in the middle. Unlike name ones for cleaning your years, these are best used for cleaning electronics, detailing, makeup, nails, or arts and crafts. They are great for applying precision lines of eye shadow, cleaning up a messy area of nail polish, or applying a thin line of paint/glue. See my photo comparing the size to the name brand ones for ear cleaning. You can see they are perfect for details. I do not recommend them for ears, as sharp pointy objects do not belong near your eardrum. Plus, the design means they don't clean wax as well as the rounded design. I never would have imagined how useful these would be before I got them. I thought I would use them mostly for makeup but they can be used everywhere and anywhere. What makes them so great is how stiff they are. They aren't going to crumble or bend when you're trying to use them to get into small spaces. The area behind the sink is hard for me to reach to clean and these get in there perfectly. They are great for cleaning up nail polish because of the pointed tip. The box and packaging is great quality too. These are definitely a new staple in our household I'll have to always have on hand. Read more

I love these double pointed cotton swabs! the tips are perfectly pointed for precision and plenty stiff enough to not instantly squish like some others I've used. I use these for so many different things, so they are very useful. These are great for the frequent cleaning of the lens on my laser engraver which gets smoked up often, even with air assist. The point really helps to get in the edges, and being natural cotton, they are safe to use on the lens. Aside from cleaning the lens, circuit boards, and other small parts, they are also great for painting, and even applying lubricant to small parts. The kids at our daycare use these for both painting and applying glue on their projects as well. The wood sticks are also much stronger and stiffer than wound paper. For as useful as these are, along with the good quality, these are a really good value for me, and I will be buying more of these when I Run low! Read more

I ordered these for touching up makeup, as well as for cleaning or craft projects. They are so useful to have on hand. The fine pointed tip on them is much more precise than a traditional cotton swab - and the point stays sharp while using it. I found these perfect for removing mascara smudges at my lash line without messing up my eyeshadow, although they are very stiff, so be gentle on delicate areas. I really like that the large quantity is pre-portioned into small zip top bags - making it easy to store and convenient to tuck them in drawers/cabinets around the house where they might be needed.
