My son has been getting in to Pokemon lately, so I bought these decks to surprise him and play with my own decks instead of us splitting his cards. We had a great time looking at the cards and playing against each other. These theme decks are fairly powerful, especially compared to the trainer kit and booster packs he has so far, so unless you have a lot of cards available, these decks will probably overpower anything you put together yourself. Kids felt 120 cards were a good value. There were quite a few duplicate pokemon in each box though and I dont think there were enough energy cards.
