This removed my husband's wrinkles

Expensive---very. Worth it--definitely. If you can't get this - Neosporin is the next best thing. This is a whole lot better. I've used them both on bad cuts through the years. When my husband fell face first in a campfire 30 years ago he burned most of the skin off his face and ears. I used this with the gel packs This enabled the burns to heal from the inside out. He was left with a tiny scar in the middle of his forehead where he hit the burning log. (I think that was probably charred wood imbedded.) We were over 1 hr. away from a hospital. The only real pain he had was the next day when we went to the clinic to have his eyes checked. They cleaned the burns and checked out his eyes, put a burn cream on his face, gave us prescriptions for antibiotics, pain meds, gave us a antibiotic cream, and recommended a plastic surgeon once the burns healed. I asked the dr. if this would be ok to use and he approved, although he didn't see any difference from the script he gave us other than it would be cheaper through the insurance coverage. Joe decided since there was no pain using this with the gel packs we decided that was the way to go. Since there was no infection nor pain or need for antibiotic cream we did not get any of the scripts filled. When the burn finally healed and the swelling went down he was left with beautiful skin, all his wrinkles were gone! He was 10 years older than me, and looked 20 years younger. (it doesn't remove the wrinkles on old skin I've tried that lol) If he got a suntan his face would get blotchy so he usually wore a hat outdoors. There was no disfigurement (I really thought there would be--he was a real mess) Read more

Great Price

SteveJuly 11, 2017✓ Verified purchase

Can't beat the price. I always have polysporin around as the go to topical antibiotic. Noticed it was time to get more and just decided to get on Amazon. The price seemed the same as both large Drug Store Chains. Well turns out I've been buying the 1/2 oz size all these years and this is the 1 oz size for the same price I've been paying. Product is very effective and really helps in reducing scarring. Read more

Keep It Clean...

This is a great, and my favorite, first aid product. Way too expensive. Never a substitute for good ole soap and water however. Keep it clean... The wound that is. Read more

Recommended by my surgeon

I have a leg wound (4" x 0.5"). My surgeon (plastic and wound care)recommended Polysporin ointment. There are difference between this and Neosporin, which I have typically used. Polysporin has bacitracin and polymixin B, whereas Neomycin has in addition neomycin. Neomycin tends to cause allergies. In addition Neosporin seems in my experience to have availably with the added pain reliever which is an antihistamine, and usually not needed. Anyway it is working well and I am pleased. Read more

PCP recommended, goes on sheer, decently priced

MarcinaJanuary 27, 2021✓ Verified purchase

Great product! Recommended by our PCP as a lot of people are becoming allergic to the ol' school "neosporin" we grew up with. Product goes on smooth and sheer... not too thick or thin. Note: all ointments will thin if product gets warm. Does not affect use. ;-) Great bang for your buck. Decently priced. Read more

Love it!

I had never heard of this until I saw it at the store, now I swear by it. I used to use Neosporin but the results weren't always great... sometimes I would have a cut that seemed to get more infected after using. I had used other ointments that worked better than Neosporin. But one day I went to the store and saw this Polysporin and it cost more. In my head I reasoned that if this cost more and I'd never even heard of it, it must be better than the popular, name brand stuff, so I gave it a try. Glad I did. Read more
