Good product. Came out nice on my new Red Wings. The epoxy container needs to implement finger holds to squeeze against the plunger as it was difficult to depress without anything to hold onto to resist the pressure of the plunger. Only has 1 mm. plastic rim to grip onto with your fingers. Painful and difficult to control. Read more

I'm pretty hard on the toes of my shoes. Well, really just the right toe. I play a fair amount of disc golf and tend to drag my right toe when I throw. This really wears down the outer of the shoe. Even with heavily reinforced toes like those on Keen shoes, I rip through them pretty quickly. I've used another type of liquid toe covering and it helped for a bit. But it came in a small tub and half of it covered 2 pairs of shoes. But the remaining liquid solidified within a few months because it was exposed to the air and that's how it works. This stuff is better in a few ways. It comes in a tube that allows you to dispense exactly how much you need without exposing the rest to the air. It also comes in 2 parts like epoxy, so it doesn't actually harden until the 2 liquids are mixed. The dispensing tips automatically mix it perfectly as you press the plunger. You do need some place to let the newly mixed liquid cure a bit before you apply it to your shoes because it's extremely watery. This is where the instructions help out a lot. It says to let it sit for 30 seconds or so, and you could even let it sit a bit longer. Once applied, it cures relatively quickly. You'll want to avoid letting it get on surfaces where you don't want it because it's really tough to clean up. The instructions say it cures within 24 hours. I think it's less than that - I applied mine in the late afternoon and was playing golf the next morning. But I live in a dry climate so that might have helped a bit. Once fully cured, it feels about as hard as steel. I was pretty surprised at how hard it had gotten. The stuff I used previously was still pretty spongy when fully cured. There is no give at all in this stuff. After a few rounds using this protection, it seems to be holding up well. It's definitely scuffed, but it hasn't failed yet. Being such a thin application, it would definitely benefit from either letting it sit longer than recommended so it doesn't spread out so much or performing multiple applications. This is an effective product for repairing and extending the life of shoes and other items, I previously repaired a faux leather coat that ripped Alina the seams. My repair was functional, but the mending was obvious because paint I used over my stitching was too brown. This made a black patch that blends in perfectly. It is harder than paint and is clearly more of an epoxy that a mere paint or polish. It goes on fairly thick and benefits from spreading according to the instructions.
