different taste, not so strong of a fake buttery taste - just like movie popcorn. I love the freshness of the colonels even the unpopped ones. There were only a few unpopped ones because I tend to make sure there is enough microwave time to get my money's worth. I think that this is definitely worth the cost for the quality of product and it pops well enough to only have a few unpopped kernels.
