Review TL;DR: If you already have the Anker MagGo with PopSockets, you don’t need this. If you don’t already have a MagSafe battery with PopSocket, well look no further, this is the one. Wireless charging gets the slow charging warning on iOS18 which means it’s at less than 10W. But Wired charging doesn’t trigger the warning which means it’s probably hitting the rated 20W wired charging. Or at least 15W. I am unable to test the 15W claim for wireless on android. The fit and finish of the battery is really nice. It’s got a matte texture on the battery itself and it has this cool frosted poptop it comes with that I have never seen in popsockets catalog before. Compared to the Anker MagGo PopSocket battery this one doesn’t have the rubberized coating on the magnetic side. But the magnetic attachment strength feels way stronger on this battery so it actually wins in that regard. The magnetic strength is almost like that of the circular MagSafe popsockets which are also very strong. The matte texture is also even more matte than the Anker and it feels great to touch. The battery indicator lights, the usb c port, and the power button are on all different sides of the battery unlike the Anker battery which are all on the bottom. The power button lets you turn off the battery by pressing and holding, just like the Anker battery. This is an upgrade over other batteries which give you no option to decide when you want to charge. Both are 19.25Wh capacity, both cap out at 7.5W wireless charging but the Anker is below 10W wired charging and the PopSockets goes up to 20 wired. The Anker is a little taller than the pop sockets battery for some reason. The popsockets battery is a little smaller overall. On the Popsockets there’s a red light that turns on when you’re wireless charging, and it stays on even when you’ve got a wire attached to both iphone and the battery. On the Anker they’re all just white lights. Read more

this gets super hot & it is also not a speedy charger. but it gets the job done. i love the magnet version. no wires no anything. just attach. i do wish it would last longer or charge faster. maybe 70% battery charge if your phone is on 5% and the battery pack is fully charged. otherwise, great product. I chose this one because my phone is always dying, but I can't be without the pop socket. Magnet is strong, no issues with it falling. Battery life has been good so far. Takes some time to charge to 100% but I mostly keep using mine while it's charging so there hasn't been issues with it. Overall, worth the money. It's already out lasted other ones I've purchased Read more

I like the white color of the power pack and clear pop socket. It matches my phone cases. I charged the power pack before use. It didn’t take long to fully charge. I attached it to my MagSafe phone case easily. It was recognized by my iPhone 16 immediately and started charging. After a few minutes It did get warm. It seemed to take awhile to charge my phone. The item details claim to offer up to 1 full charge. But my phone was getting pretty warm so I took the battery pack off. It has light indicators showing how much battery is remaining and a button to turn it on once it’s connected to the back of your phone. It seems to connect automatically so I’m not really sure what the button does. I will keep it and use it when I’m not near my wall charger. I like knowing I have a backup just in case of a power outage or while on vacation. Overall I liked how I can still be mobile with my phone and not have to sit with it plugged in while it charges. The strength of the magnet seems strong. It stayed on my phone well. I was able to move the bottom part around but it never fell off. It did charge my AirPods as well. The red charging light doesn’t turn on if you don’t have it on the back of your phone though. But it charged my phone and AirPods at the same time when it was attached to my phone. It came with instructions, a USB C to USB C cord for charging, and the power pack. I’m glad I ordered this. Read more

It is completely non-functional for any purpose outside of allowing easier phone handling. Turning this thing off is merely a suggestion. It will turn itself back on, even if your device is at 100%, and attempt to overheat it; Charging speed (of the battery pack itself and from the battery pack to your phone) is slow. During one of its unintended spurts of sentience, I found that it was barely able to outpace the battery usage associated with running a music app in the background. Takes longer to charge than a phone or similar capacity battery packs. Charging capacity is non-existent. Your phone WILL overheat before it's able to recharge it, if it even does that. A full charge of this thing is barely enough to recharge an iPhone from below 50%. Similar capacity batter packs (for a tenth of the price) will charge your phone, not overheat it, and won't turn themselves on. The only positive thing about it is the magnet actually works and will hold up within normal use. So this is a great buy if you want an overpriced pop-socket that is actively trying to destroy your phone... Read more

The PowerPack is a nifty idea, but ultimately needs a little bit more polishing. It has a 5000mah capacity, which for me is good for one full charge. In most cases that's sufficient. The issues arise when using the product in practice. From what I can tell, you cannot turn off the PowerPack, which means that you can't use the grip without depleting the PowerPack. The PowerPack can be turned off, but in my experience, so long as it's connected (via the magnet) it will turn on a few seconds after I turn it off with the button. I think the product would be much better had it had a switch/toggle for on/off. Additionally, the grip does get warm when charging. Not a big deal, but it's worth mentioning as it might be uncomfortable for some users. All in all, I plan on keeping it as it's nice to have as a backup, but needing to keep it away from my phone until I want to use it is not ideal. Read more
