Perfect for a room! I live in Arizona, and our temperatures are 103 to 106. I work from home, and my office is in the back of the house. Right outside one of my office windows is our Train air conditioner unit. This thing is huge and puts out a lot of heat, keeping the house cool. So my office tends to be the hottest room in the house, not to mention all 5 of my PC's running 8 to 10 hours a day. The average temperature in my office is 90 to 92 degrees on a given day. DOES NOT WORK!! I am pretty sure that someone returned it, as when I received it, as it had already had water inside as if they never emptied the container. First, It very lightweight, which is a telling sign of it's quality. The water compartment on top is plastic, which is not adequate for storing water to facilitate cool air. Additionally, when I tested in the house it worked, but mostly just air; the cool function barely works, literally just a very light brisk of less than cool air; a breeze outside feels more refreshing than this. When I took to my car, which is what I purchased it for, it kept cutting off and the cool setting does not work in the car. I'm not sure if because in the house it was plugged into an actual outlet plug and maybe the car was not sufficient. Either way it’s just not worth it. Plus, it has to be plugged in for use. We purchased this hoping it would help cool off our dog, but it didn’t really work for that purpose, so we ended up returning it. It doesn’t provide enough cooling power for pets or larger areas. That said, it would probably work better for someone who just needs a small, personal fan on a desk. It’s compact and easy to use, just not suitable for what we intended. Read more

It works! No really, it's great. I have an 645 sq ft studio apartment and this little chill box works so well. I fill it with ice water and it' cools the space in about 10 minutes. Granted it's not so hot yet but I'm only using at the lowest setting. Love this! Update: 8/06/25: it still works! It's actually pretty warm these days in SF, and this lil baby is amazing. This portable air cooler only kept a very small section of the room cool — I had to be directly in front of it to feel anything. You would probably need multiple units to cool a room, and at that point you might as well buy a full-size portable AC. The design and controls were good, but it just didn’t pass the test when it came to staying cool in the summer heat. I ended up returning it. Read more

I purchased 3 of these, and the first one I set up only sprayed 'cold mist' from two of the nozzles. I had registered them for the 'lifetime warranty' so I contacted them and sent a video of the 2 nozzles misting, and they argued with me but finally sent a replacement fan. But the joke's on me, because ALL FOUR FANS have the same problem—only TWO of the THREE nozzles mist—they are either knowingly selling sub-par products and just don't care or have the worst quality checks in the world, or BOTH. This is a LOW QUALITY product with a high price tag, and they don't actually stand by their so-called lifetime warranty—at least not without significant arguing and hassle!
