I am a big fan of bidet use, but my husband is not a fan. I have a portable bidet bottle with a nozzle that I use at home. I was excited to order this product because I hoped to be able to use something away from home when needed. It almost looked too tiny when I saw the box, but it was just fine. I was able to attach it to a re-purposed soda bottle. It looks like it would also fit on a regular bottle of water. I was able to use it and it worked okay. One thing I didn't think about ahead of time is that as soon as you turn the bottle upside down water will start squirting out. Make sure to position the bottle close to your body and be ready to go. Otherwise you will end up with water everywhere but where you want it. This is really the biggest drawback of the item. I would imagine it also might be difficult to obtain and manage a water bottle for it at a public restroom. I can see how this would probably work great while camping though. For home I will continue to use my bidet bottle with nozzle. I can turn it upside down and nothing happens until I squeeze. Gives me a little more time to get ready. Next time I go to an all day event I will wrap this up in some tissue and stick it in my bag along with a bottle of water in case I need it. I think it is a good hygiene solution at this price point and it is no trouble to clean and store. Read more

I'm glad I tried this on a water bottle in the sink as a test trial first just to see if this cap could withstand the pressure of squeezing because if you didn't push this cap deep enough and just right, the whole cap would fly off. I'd imagine if you were actually using it in the toilet your first time when it flies off the bottle that would also be your last time. Also, pushing in that cap that hard and deep without squeezing the bottle at the same time requires holding the bottle just at the very tip or you would lose a lot of the water in the bottle just trying to put on the cap tight enough to not lose it. Next, the stream that does come out is quite pathetic compared to the HappyPo XL. Though traveling with just the cap is way more compact than a portable bidet that comes with a squeezable bottle, you would then still need to find or carry a separate bottle. Using a random PET bottle helped me remember that PET bottles don't return to their shape after squeezing so it's hard to maintain any pressure after the first squeeze. You would have to try to reform the bottle or stick something back in the bottle to push it back out so you could get the full volume of air again to squeeze the remaining water out with any pressure. This would also be very inconvenient making it a lengthy and multi-step-two-handed job instead of one while also being far less effective or clean. It's basically a pain in the a$$ to try to use this only it can't have enough pressure to actually feel it. Read more

The Spray Mate MINI Portable Bidet was valued at $14.99 at the time of my review. I like that it offers a reusable solution for staying clean on the go. It’s easy to use and I can see it being especially useful for camping or hiking when regular facilities aren’t available. There are some drawbacks to keep in mind. You really need to test it before using because it can sometimes fly off the bottle... and end up in a toilet. It’s also useless without a plastic bottle nearby, so you have to plan ahead. Another small frustration is that the spray spout isn’t clearly indicated, which makes it harder to line up correctly. For what it is, the price feels a bit expensive. Read more
