My wife was looking for a Bluetooth speaker she could use around water, and this one looked like it would fit the bill. I can’t say exactly how much water it can handle, but based on the product page, light splashes here and there shouldn’t be a problem. It’s not meant to be submerged, but it does appear to be designed to handle water exposure better than a standard speaker. Getting it connected and playing music was extremely easy. As soon as you turn it on, a voice prompt lets you know it’s ready for a Bluetooth connection. You simply pair it with your phone, and that’s it—you’re connected and ready to go. The speaker has large plus and minus buttons on the top for volume control and possibly a few other functions. On the back, there’s a power button and another button I haven’t needed to use yet, along with an SD card slot that we also haven’t tried. My wife mainly wanted a speaker to play music directly from her phone, and it does that perfectly. We’ve only owned and used a handful of Bluetooth speakers, so we’re definitely not experts, but the sound quality really impressed us. The audio is clear, full, and rich sounding—honestly one of the better-sounding Bluetooth speakers I’ve personally heard. It also gets plenty loud and can easily be heard a few rooms away. The speaker has a little weight to it, which gives it a solid, quality feel in the hand. Overall, it seems well made and performs exactly as we hoped. This arrived with full power, and also charges quickly. It has a nice loop to hang from your belt or bike. I took mine to the beach hanging from my backpack carbiner. It has 2 slightly hidden buttons on the back that work the on/off, volume, and light colors. The sound with the volume high is a bit tinny sounding, but at lower volume I didn't notice it. Since I only have the one I can't say if it is a flaw or if this one is damaged, but it is something to think about. I personally like to raise the volume high to hear my music and wouldn't have paid this price for distortion at the higher level of volume. It is sturdy feeling and I like the fabric cover, not only feels tactilely nice, but keeps it from slipping from my hands. The media could not be loaded. I didn't have very high expectations for a $25 bluetooth speaker, so when I unboxed this one, I was pleasantly surprised. This one is not super lightweight, like most budget electronics are. It feels durable, like it was made from quality materials. The sound is impressive for a speaker of this size, especially the bass production, and with the ability to buy a 2nd speaker for TWS immersive stereo sound, it would make a great portable setup for watching movies on your phone or laptop. The lights are vibrant and do a decent job of syncing with the music. My photos didn't do a great job picking up the light colors, so I took a video. But my phone shuts off the bluetooth audio during recording. So, you can see it, but can't hear it. Your phone calls can also come through on the speaker, and you can end and retrieve the calls by the speaker button. Overall, this bluetooth speaker looks like party on the front, business on the back, and makes a great travel companion. The battery life is good, and the auto off feature 10 minutes after it loses signal is super convenient. The only thing I couldn't find that I wish it had is some sort of equalizer to customize the sound quality. I didn’t except much from this budget friendly speakers, but boy was I surprised how nice these speakers actually sound. These speakers have a good amount of bass unlike my other speakers so listening to R&B is nice again. The speakers are IPX6 rated and I tried it outside a misty setting and I was able to wipe off the water with no damage to the speakers. The Bluetooth connection was solid and I didn’t get any disconnections while playing my music. A good buy at this bargain price. I’m tempted to getting another one so I can test out the TWS (true wireless stereo) for watching movies. Read more
