I ordered the Mayhas Book Stand for Reading in Walnut with the Wood Base; and, it is very best. I currently have a smaller, less well made stand that I use in my kitchen to hold my cookbooks while I'm cooking, but it will not always hold the cookbook in place, and I'm always trying to stack something on the book pages to hold it in place until I'm finished. Some of my recipe's however are actually in either a 2" or 3", 3-ring binder where I place each recipe in a sheet protector, and then categorize the recipes under various sections on a table of contents page. And, needless to say, my binder style recipe file, while so useful, handy, and valuable to me and my family, gets heavy and most book reading stands won't hold it's weight. But this wonderful stand did. The base where you put your book is walnut wood and it is large enough that I can easily place one of my large, 3-ring binders on it, open the binder to the page I want, and then easily keep the pages in place by using the clamps attached to the book stand to hold pages in place. This is such a nice book stand, however, I also wanted to see if it could be used for other home tasks. So, I tried using it to hold my tablet and it was great for that also. Because this book reader is adjustable to so many heights, as well as it rotates 360 degrees, I easily got my tablet into the right position for viewing. I needed something to hold papers or books when I am in front of a computer. If the paper is laying in front of me, I pick it up regularly to see what it says. With this stand I can set the correct angle for reading the paper. It's heavy (a good thing), looks good, and it's made of quality materials. There's a little nook for holding pens or highlighters on the base. The little page holders are small enough to not interfere with reading, but are strong enough to hold down a thick book that like to close itself if it's not held down properly. They are easy to adjust for any thickness, down to a single paper. If you don't need the page holders you can fold them behind the stand. The little rubberized ledge does a good job of holding the book on the stand. The stand adjusts both vertically and horizontally (with satisfying clicks when rotating it).
