This compact CD player is great for music fans like me that are loving the resurgence of CDs. I started a new collection to be more intentional with the music I listen to. You choose it and touch it, without an algorithm. You can’t beat this CD player for the price. It works great by itself, or attached to my high end system with the adapter. I tried it with both CDs and the SD card and it worked flawlessly. If I could wish for one more thing, it would be to be able to play on my portable JBL speaker via bluetooth. I have not been able to use this CD player because it is emitting a colorless and almost undetectable gas that sticks to your flesh. I first opened it up and began to explore the CD player then realized it was irritating my eyes, nose and mouth. I repackaged it quickly and assumed it was a new product smell, that would soon escape as the new plastic cures. I noticed that it arrived in a heavy duty paper bag. Had it been in a non porous plastic bag the bag may have expanded like a balloon. Who knows? I want to keep the CD player but I do not plan to reopen the package until it seems safe. If the situation does not subside I will discard the product as if it were toxic waste. For the few moment that it was open it seemed to be well packaged and well made. I will eventually open it outside when the weather is a bit warmer. It was packaged in bubble rap, maybe it was a reaction between two non compatible polymers. For now I can not recommend this product, nor report on it's functionality. Read more
I don’t know why I’m giving it 2 stars as opposed to one. Worked great for a month. Then it just died. Tried multiple different chargers and outlets and made sure I had the right amperage and voltage for the device. No good. It’s just dead. Let’s see if a different model by a different brand holds up better. The Sony Discman I had in high school lasted years before being stolen. This is definitely not a Sony.
