This is a good power bank for land,sea and air travel or with a converter plug in countries not compatible with the US plug. I like that I can plug it into a wall socket directly., it's somewhat compact, it fast charges (if you ever need to charge it,lol), has a large 12000 mah battery but is still tsa acceptable to fly with in a carry on, has over charge protection and temperature control, has built in USB-C and Lightning Cables and a digital status guide. This is a great portable charger. Works rather quickly, easy to use, it did what I needed it to do. I was away on a non pleasure trip and knew that I wasnt going to habe time to find an outlet and let my phone charge. This was perfect. With dual cords, my husband could use the same charger. So maybe it's not TOTAL trash, just kinda trash... This charger is only useful if I remember to use it BEFORE the battery drains to zero. If I am already shutting down, it's too late to recover with this device, despite appearances that it is working at first. For some reason it just refuses to work on a phone that is dead at 0% even if it just happened less than a minute ago. It does seem to function as expected when plugged into a phone that is already powered on, and the quick charge is quite zippy if the capability is there. So it gets another star for being at least consistently predictable, but still not the best choice for an emergency. I had to install an alarm app to warn me when power was critically low just because this device won't work once the device turns itself off. It can be fully charged itself, but it won't give up that power unless the phone is awake to ask for it. If you're on top of it enough to notice it getting low, you shouldn't push your luck and try to do that "just one quick thing" before digging this portable bank out of the luggage. Stop what you're doing and charge it even if its annoying to use it while tethered to the bank. The led % display is handy info to have, and its got the juice to go fast, but the built in cord is really awkwardly short and uncomfortably twisted to use the charger and the phone simultaneously, which is what encourages me to delay past the point of no return, so its a bit of a fail. It's small and light though, so its going to stay in play as a tool for me, but only as an extra one. I put my trust in another similar unit that is a bit slower to take and give a charge, but dependable to come to the rescue if I need to get a phone back up after it cut out. That's a proper portable charger. This one is maybe better considered as a live battery extender rather than a portable charger. Chargers would charge a dead battery or allow the phone to power up immediately. One is a convenience, the other is a real solution. *****Previous reviews***** Updated again after "Trash. Just doesn't work despite showing 100% capacity" update. Updated update! Still kinda sketchy, but maybe not total trash. It's not a reliable unit so far. It has a nice display of charge, and charges my device quickly enough WHEN it actually charges, but it inexplicably sometimes doesn't charge it at all. I have had it read 100% and attempted to charge my phone (android) which was at 0% having just died. Plugged it in and it showed a charger was attached and left it for a while, only to return to it having still 0% while the charger read 93% left. Had to fiddle with plugging it in several times to ensure that it actually stays connected and charging because it seems to start and then stop again. When it did connect to charge again, it showed the percentage back at 100% instead of the 93% it had just shown. So I like that it does do the turbo charge when it works, but I don't like that it may not be charging at all when it should be as that may affect something time critical. It's done this non-charge thing a couple times and I am not sure what to do to be sure its working, so I don't trust it. I may keep it as a back up back up only. Update: Nevermind. Utter junk.
