I believe the 10000 mAh claim based on the charging time using a known charger. It has a comparable charging time to batteries rated nearly the same which have proven to be able to charge my phone two to three complete charges. I have gotten essentially two complete charges (with a nominal 5000mAh phone battery) on this unit starting at 100%. I like the percentage gauge for charging versus just the crude 5 LEDs in my earlier Magsafe charger. The built in phone stand is nice although only useful for portrait mode. Used it so far for almost two months. My only complaint is the magnetic attachment to the Magsafe phone is a bit weak. I think the magnet is about as strong as the unit it replaced but that was half the weight. If you're wearing it on a belt holster be prepared for it to fall off if you move abruptly or have it swiped off by your seatbelt. I would advise taking it off the back of the phone when outside and placing it in a zippered pocket, then charging again when its in your hand or on a table. Walking with this is problematic from it falling off and not noticing. Read more
