This DJ stand assembles pretty quickly, and is easy enough to put together even without the instructions. It's sturdier than it looks, and it can hold a fair amount -- within limits. It starts wide, which is fine for a DJ controller or even a larger (49 keys or more) keyboard or MIDI controller. That being said, it also has some drawbacks. To begin with, several components had wear or scratches. Second, the wide footprint means that there's some gear you won't be able to fit on the lower tier, which limits its utility. And the angle of the "feet" is such that if you have something a little too heavy on either tier, things start to get a little wobbly. You can remedy this to an extent by angling the lower set of arms so they brace the stand against whatever surface you're working on, but if there's any overhang, you lose that advantage. Whether this works for you will depend quite a bit on the kind, size, and weight of the equipment you're using, because while the price isn't bad in and of itself, the stand stops being cost-effective if you can't use it with your usual gear.
