I picked up this NBILIC hookah set mainly for its portability, but honestly, it’s turned out to be a solid all-around option. Right out of the box, it comes with everything you need: silicon bowl, base, hose, coal tongs (you actually get two), LED light with a remote, and even a travel bag. No need to buy extras just to get started. Assembly was straightforward. The instructions are clear, and if you’re more of a visual learner, there are pictures to guide you. Took me about 10 minutes tops to set everything up the first time. The LED lights are a fun touch—there are 12 color options and a few different modes to switch things up depending on the vibe. You’ll need to grab 3 AAA batteries separately, though, which isn’t a big deal. What I like most is how easy it is to take on the go. The travel bag is compact but fits everything nicely, making it ideal for bringing to friends’ places or even camping. Cleaning is also simple; they include a brush, and everything rinses out easily. This is how to use this hookah. As simply as I can put it. I have assembled MANY of these so I know of what I speak (or type, in this case). -Lie it on its side, and fill the bowl side of the tank with about an inch of water. -Put the black silicone bowl into the hole. Twist and work it until it fits in snugly. Ensure the bottom of the bowl is just submerged, if not, take off the bowl and add or remove water as necessary, then reattach bowl. -Load bowl. -Place metal charcoal holder on top of loaded bowl. Light charcoal and place in holder, using tongs, then loosely cover with foil. This makes the charcoal stay hot longer. -Put hose into the other side of the tank that doesn't have water. There's a hole in the side for the hose, and there's a gasket that goes on there in the bag of accessories, just pop it on. The gasket could pop off and slip inside the tank, so be prepared to hook it out. If it keeps popping out, try turning the gasket around the other way. Also, just gently wiggle the end of the hose into the hole slowly until it's nice and snug, don't jam it in there. (my apologies, there's no way to describe that step without sounding dirty). -Put the silicone disc over the vent hole on the top. This set comes with 2 discs and little center knobs. -Once the hose is securely attached to the tank, and the charcoal is hot, start drawing on it to get the bowl contents heated up. -Congratulations you are now using a hoookah, enjoy! Now, here's a tiny detail that will clear up a lot of confusion with this book type of hookah: In the dividing partition of the tank, there's a TEENY TINY opening at the top, like 1mm or so, that spans the length of the divider. That allows the air to pass through from the side with the bowl to the side with the hose. It's incredibly hard to see, especially if you aren't sure what you're looking for. I was confused at first too, until I looked at the whole thing closely under bright lights. That hole on top with the silicone cover is for controlling how much vacuum you create when you draw, thereby controlling the strength of the "hit". My advice is to just start slowly until you find what works for you. If nothing happens, either your coals aren't hot enough or there's a problem with the contents of the bowl, assuming the hookah is correctly assembled, i.e. no loose parts. The small size of this hookah makes it draw much differently than the bigger ones. Ok is everyone clear now? I'm seeing a lot of reviews of this type of hookah where people don't understand how it works, so maybe this will help clear up some confusion. In their defense, the instructions included are not great, it's more of an illustrated part list with very scant directions on how to assemble it. All that being said, the hookah arrived quickly and all parts accounted for, no damage. It assembles and breaks down quickly. It's quite cute! I'll probably cover it with kawaii stickers. I haven't used it yet but that's because I'm keeping it nice and taking it with me on a trip next month. But I did test it out, the tank is water tight, and no leaking air from any openings. For the price, the materials and craftsmanship are are about right, very decent. Nice set overall, good price. Love the black zipper bag that comes with it! Plenty of room to hold extra stuff.
