I picked up one of these for my wife to keep in her car last year and it has repeatably been a life saver. So much so, that I decided to pick up one for each of our vehicles (and a couple for Christmas Gifts as well)! I used to have the old lead acid type that was bulky, weighed a ton, and never seemed to hold a charge. These newer generation devices are nothing like those; they are light and compact and seem to hold a charge forever.
