Portable Monitor Stand Holder for 6-18 5 Inch Universal Desktop Version Expandable Display Base Adjustable Portable Monitor Desktop

I recently upgraded my 15.6 inch monitors I use for travel/remote work to a pair of 18.5 inch monitors. I needed a monitor stand that could handle the larger dimension and weight that was also affordable and light enough to carry around. Most monitor stands today that can handle the larger dimensions are either too heavy or too expensive. This one checked all the boxes for me: - Light weight … just 1 lb, 13 oz (as compared to 3.5 lbs for the another unit) - Very stable! The articulating joints can be locked into place with the supplied hex wrench - Adjustable jaws easily accommodate the 18.5 inch monitor with room to spare; competing models just barely could expand that wide, or only accommodated VESA mounting systems; not great if for traveling / remote working arrangements because screws are easy to lose and assembling/disassembling every time is inconvenient. - Compact; for air travel this can be disassembled and placed in checked or carry-on baggage. I had the problem of using one of my larger drawing tablets as another display, and needed something to hold it up. I was worried when I opened the box because while it was made of good quality material, the stand itself is a bit on the skinnier side. I got this to be a digital nomad with neck pain. It was very easy and intuitive to set up and I like the allen wrench has a place in the base, so I don't lose it. It does not collapse as well as I would like, it doesn't seem like it was designed with that in mind. It can lose stability if you overextend the angles but I have not had any problems with positioning it as I need it. It holds onto my monitor extremely well and it is good quality. Using this for travel now to a few countries, very sturdy holding my second thin 17" monitor, easy to assemble quickly, and nice holder for the allen wrench. The design could use a quick release, screw clamp or locking knob instead to lock the arm joints, but then would it be heavier. It works for my use but it’s as flexible in height. You can adjust but it will tilt over. I used for my 15in display screen to extend on my laptop and it flops down due to the weight. I have to put something heavy at the base or adjust the arm which it a lot lower or higher than my laptop. I still get good use and I like that it is collapsible and low profile x Read more
