At first glance, I was wary that this pull up device could hold up my 185lb weight. I secured the two handles to a doorway and slowly put my full weight on it. The handles held up without any issue. I pulled up my legs and started doing some pull ups. The device worked great and let me get a good work out. Here are the caveats. The handles hang down about a foot below the inside top of the doorway. The standard doorway has a 6’8” top elevation. I’m 5’8” tall so I could manage by picking up my feet. I think some taller folks will have a hard time getting clearance to do a full pull up in a standard doorway. I’m concerned about marking up the door frame after prolonged use and possible damage, but as of now I don’t notice any ill effects from using the device.
