I’ve noticing I’ve been having a lot of back pain while cooking. I figured out it was because I would keep my head down and my posture forward so I ordered those, hoping it would help. The first thing I noticed is there is no instructions which concerned me, but after putting it on, I realized it is pretty straightforward on how to adjust. What I did not consider was where the shoulder straps were and so for the first couple days, I was wearing them too far inside the armpit area and that was not securing my shoulders in place. Once I corrected this placement, I noticed an immediate difference. I got the medium per my measurements on the size chart. It fits with no gaps however, I could probably have gone down to a small, but that may have been too uncomfortable. The material itself is thick and heavy duty. The stitching is straight and free of defects. I started out wearing it about 30 minutes a day for a few days and then adjusted that as my comfort would allow. I wore this all morning and feel like it does indeed help my posture and put my shoulders into a slightly pulled back position. I think the sizing charts are confusing as I'm not a small but based on the charts that's what was recommended, and I gambled and ordered the small. I'd say I maybe could/should have ordered a medium to have a bit more leeway - BUT the small DOES work for me. I'm a 36 C/D 148 lbs 5'4.5" but as it goes UNDER your breasts, it's not really an issue, at least it's not for me. I'm an hourglass figure, so my waist is smaller than breasts/ hips. If you're unsure order up 1 size. I kinda wish I had but this small will still work and was definitely comfortable enough to wear. I'd say I felt better in it standing and walking than sitting, but again I think that's the sizing and the reason I wish id gone with the medium With regards to the positioning, it seems if you put the front parts more on your shoulders, then it works a bit better. This posture corrector works pretty well but is not perfect. The pros are that it provides structure and support with boning to straighten the back, is as comfortable to wear as can be expected for this type of device, and fits as expected (I ordered a medium and it fits true to size). It's very easy to put on and adjust - the video as advertised for this shows how to do so. I've worn it daily for walks on the treadmill and it feels supportive and decreases the stress on my back as I walk. It is making me more aware of my posture, but the only thing I don't think it does well is pull my shoulders back. I would have expected a bit more shoulder support. Instructions are to wear for 30 mins on the first day and work up to 1 - 2 hours a day for 21 days to notice a difference. I never expected this product to “fix” my posture. I expected it to help me correct my posture. For that purpose, it works great. Add some core exercises (planks, push-ups), keep that old manta in mind (stomach in, chest out, shoulders back), and this posture reminder makes a great team. It will make you feel warmer, so keep that in mind. Pros: - very well made. Stitching is excellent, no hanging threads, and everything is symmetrical. - nice neoprene fabric. The stitching is so well done that you can wear it next to your skin, but it feels better to me if I have a t-shirt on. - the instructions are clear, in English, and helpful! - the vest doesn’t try to contort your body. While I understand the concept behind this product, the design makes it extremely hard to wear for any period of time. According to the product page, my chest measured just at the lowest measurement for the large and the top of the medium size. The page suggested that I should order medium - I did. Bad! It's too tight. The straps have to be pulled hard to latch making the device extremely uncomfortable. It's hurts! Thus wearing it is not going to happen. I think if it was better designed to stretch and mold to the user's back and chest, wearing it might be easier. Right now, the design is rigid and not comfortable. Following the directions I ordered a medium due to me being at 40 measured inches as it stated in the description and directions. Once I tried to use it I found that I needed to really tighten the belt below the breast line so that it didn’t gap in the back. Doing this I would then tighten the shoulder support area and found that it dug into my front shoulder area. After a few minutes I tried readjusting the straps still no success and still have a gap in the back area. I was so looking forward to this as I have back and neck issues.
