I bought these to go up in size from my 66mm slimeballs as the area of Phoenix I skate has really coarse roads and sidewalks that have varied height cracks in them. Plus all front {lawns} sorry yards, are made up of rocks that get scattered everywhere thar even these cannot roll over. I'll get the positives out of the way first - these wheels look nice, feel nice, and seem to ride well from my experience with them. But they've got some serious (surprising, given the asking price) issues and limitations that completely kill the deal (for me, anyway - if ride feel matters above all else to you and you've got money pouring out your ears, maybe these things won't matter to you). I noticed the first problem when trying to install them. The wheel wells seem to be a little tighter than most, and the result is that it's incredibly difficult to get bearings into them. I'm a big, strong guy but I couldn't get them in by hand. Eventually I got them in by putting the bearing on the axle and then jamming the wheel on, hammering it until the bearings were in enough to get the wheel on with the nut barely threaded on the end, and then just cranked the nut down to get them the rest of the way on. Getting the bearings out of the wheels was even worse. I have a whole quiver of boards, wheels, trucks, bearings etc, and I've never had so much issue getting bearings into wheels. With how often I need to take the bearings out for cleaning and greasing, this alone is a deal breaker. Combine that with the many reports of these wheels chunking (having pieces break off), often early in their life too - and the $70 asking price becomes a bit of an insulting joke. Yes they feel good to ride, but there are lots of other wheels on the market that feel similarly good to ride that don't cost an arm and a leg and offer a difficult, unreliable experience. Read more
