The Potenigo Power Bank Portable Charger 10000mAh Battery Pack arrived in a sealed box. The package contained the power bank, some user instructions, and a very short (12”end to end) USB C to USB 2.0 cable. The power bank measured 5 ½” by 2 ½” and it’s about ½” thick. This power bank weighs about 7.5 ounces. The power bank feels solid and it is easy to handle. I’m not sure how practical or useful the short USB cable is. The power bank arrived charged at a 95% level. I used my Google Pixel adapter to charge it to a full 100% level. I was a bit surprised at how it took to fully charge the power bank. I later recharged the power bank from 34% to 100% in about 4 hours and 20 minutes using the Apple charger for my M1 Macbook Air. That charger is a 30W charger. For my testing, I used the power cables that originally came with the devices. I tested this power bank using two (2) devices I own: Google Pixel 8a Apple M4 Macbook Air Test 1 Start End Time Pixel 8a 40% 100% 2 hours Power Bank 100% 56% 2 hours Based on these numbers, it took 44% of the power bank to charge my Pixel 8a the final 60% to get to a full 100% level. This recharge was done with the phone on so the results might be different if you do the recharge while the phone is turned off. Test 2 Start End Time M4 Macbook Air 25% 38% 1 hour Power Bank 100% 75% 1 hour The power bank was able to add 13% charge to my M4 Macbook Air in one (1) hour , which used 25% of the power bank . Based on this result, a fully charged power bank could add 50% charge to a M4 Macbook Air in about 4 hours. The product page states that “this power bank provides 2.5-4 full charges for most smartphones”. I did not get that level of performance during my testing but I did charge my Pixel 8a while it was on. I’m sure it would be more efficient to charge the phone while it was off; I just need to leave my phone on at all times. Based on my testing, I think this power bank will work well to recharge high-end cell phones and some tablets. It can also be used to partially recharge modern laptops such as a Macbook Air. I did my testing over several days and the power bank stayed cool while I used it. The price at the time of this review is $9.99 and I think you get a pretty good value at that price. Read more
