I’ve been through a lot of barbell clamps in my lifting life. Most of them start out promising—tight grip, shiny finish, whispering sweet nothings like “I’ll never let go.” But the second I throw on some real weight, they give up faster than my ex during foreplay. Plates sliding everywhere, clanging around like a bad one-night stand. Total mood killer. But THESE collars? Oh baby. First time I snapped them on, they latched down harder than a freak on dollar-beer night. Zero slip. Zero movement. Just pure, unrelenting grip—like a vice that refuses to let go, no matter how much you squirm. Honestly, if my wife held onto me like these collars hold a plate, we’d have three more kids by now. I tested them with squats, deadlifts, bench—hell, even some questionable thrusting movements I can’t name here—and they stayed put through it all. They’ve got the clingy energy of that one girl who texts “wyd?” at 2am every night, except this time, it’s exactly what you want. And the quick release? Smooth. Effortless. In and out faster than your neighbor’s pool boy. They commit hard, but when you’re ready to move on, they don’t make a scene—they just let go, no crying, no drama, no slashed tires. Bottom line: If your collars don’t make you question your marriage, you bought the wrong ones. 11/10—grips harder than your search history suggests you wish she did. Read more
I bought my first pair about 1 year ago and they've been great. They fit an Olympic bar with just enough play that they're easy to get on and move but snug enough that you can control them with one hand (while the other is holding/loading weights). When I bought them, I made the mistake of buying a set of the other plastic clamps (Marcy, but many vendors sell similar clamps). That style of clamp requires both hands to hold the clamp in place and control the lever, which can spin around. That annoyed the &$#@ out of me. So, I finally broke down and bought 2 more pairs of these. Now all is good, LOL Read more
I have a pair of the "fatter" barbell clamps which also snap on and which are available on Amazon from various vendors. I saw this particular style recently and this format too is available on Amazon from a number of sellers. I thought I'd give it a try given the inexpensive price and the fact I can always return it. They definitely stay on rather tight. I like the fact they're thinner and slimmer. A small investment for holding plates on the barbell or on loadable dumbbells in place during weightlifting. Assuming they're no less sturdy in build than my fatter clamps, these should last me a long time. Read more
This clamp works great! Simple and easy to use. Works a lot better than those spring clamps. My son can now lift without the old clamps getting stuck on there. Definitely worth the money. Great value. Design is simple, which makes the weight low. I got the black one to match our olympic bar and the color matches perfect. I did put 3 plates on one side and lifted it up to check the slip resistance, and slip resistance is amazing. Read more
Fast quick delivery. These locks are solid and holding together pretty well tight on the bar. Only wish is that they were magnetic to stick to the rack. $10 great price. Read more
Nice hard plastic. Great quality. Have used them a while and they still have that hard snap to close them creating a great grip with no sliding. Read more
I'm not some expert at weight lifting. I had purchased some of the olympic size bars and weights because I got tired of the "screw on" clamps "screwing off" during use. The bars I purchased included spring loaded clamps but they, too, got loose too quickly. Then I found these! Now I don't know if they are good in the long term but so far, I feel much safer with this design than the others. It works well enough and hope it does hold up. I wonder if the rubber liner inside would have to be replaced in time but the plastic feels fine and up to the task with reasonable care during use. BT recommeded Read more
I love these collars! They are lightweight and easy to use. I don’t know how long they will last, but they seem pretty durable. They clamp snuggly on my Olympic bars. I am very pleased with this purchase. I highly recommend them. Read more
