I upgraded to this from a RTX 3070, and wow am I impressed. The RX 9070 has double the VRAM and almost double the performance, so now I can sustain FPS high enough to use the full 144Hz refresh rate of my 1440p monitor. All this extra horsepower with the same ~220W TDP as my 3070 is very nice because I didn't have to get a new PSU. The Red Devil specifically is an amazing card. The cooler is massive and does a great job. The fans are quiet and don't sound annoying at high RPM. Core, hotspot, and VRAM temperatures are all very good. Read more
A really good card, I used Cyberpunk as a reference and could run on max setting with pycho raytracing on with solid frame rate and no issue playing other games i have used this for on max setting are monster hunter wilds, space marine 2, helldivers, dead space remake, street fighter 6, and many more Read more
I wanted an XT but ended up with this card during the scramble at launch (This red dragon was never listed at $550 as mis stated in another review, it was MSRP of $659) . Overall I am very impressed, it has amazing power and is way quieter than my 6800xt that replaced it. In fact it never got above 55c in time spy benchmark, really impressive cooling and power draw on this card. With a bit of an extra overclock I was able to get a 22400 timespy score. So I would say if you can live with the +/- 10% performance drop from the XT but value a low power draw and quiet system, this Red Dragon would fit the bill nicely, if you can find one online to buy. Solid card, built well and looks good. Read more
Worked great for the first 2 months. It was performing amazingly, it was quiet, there was some coil whine but it went away after a few minutes every time I turn on my PC. Fast forward 3 months and now there's no end to the driver conflicts. I can't use the card without my screen going black, or my system crashing. I've uninstalled and reinstalled my drivers, done a clean setup, and nothing fixes the issues. I can't tell if my card doesnt work because of the drivers or if the card itself is faulty. I originally came from a 2080ti and wanted to try out AMD this generation, because of all the raving reviews, but it still feels like AMD needs to work on their drivers. There are just too many bugs and driver timeouts. I never had an issue with Nvidia. AMD is crushing it with their CPUs but their GPUs need work. Read more
Didn’t get the XT, but honestly happy with what I got seeing prices continually climb for non XT cards that only have 2dp and 2hdmi. I replaced a 6750 XT Red Devil, that was 100.00 less during ETH ordeal to replace a failing RX 580.. Overall great gpu, cool, quiet and perfomance is what you’d expect (under 800.00). Read more
I managed to snag this at $650 at launch day, but it works really well for the price. If you are looking to buy this as of right now, I would wait for the price to drop. Read more
For whatever reason, Powercolor launched their 9070 stock 45 mins after everyone else and that's the only reason I got one! This thing is great, I keep it on the subtle red glow and I know I have plenty of options for tweaking. It's got the low power switch, maybe I'll use that in the summer if I'm playing casual games. Wanted the XT but the difference was overblown - sure the XT is better, and this thing is still stellar! Read more
