We've had this honestly for about 4 hours, now and I'm in love! As soon as we can afford a second one for our 2000 sq ft home (obviously wanted to try it before buying the second one), we're buying it! A little background: We are inside smokers- upstairs, in our own separate wing of the house. We also really wanted to put this to the test, to see if it was worth buying the second one for our home. So, we skipped vacuuming for 2 days to see what the quality was like on days that we didn't have time to vacuum our home. **This is NOT a paid endorsement. My product was NOT free, nor do I know the seller in any way, shape, or form. I simply want to spread GOOD information via reviews, because there are so many false and misleading ones out there.** We tried this all over our house, starting in the main home, in the great room (LR/DR/Kit. combined). Upon plugging it in, the purifier cycled through all of the lights and settled on a number and color within seconds. The light was blue and the quality said it was between 50-53 ug/m^3, but quickly started ticking down and was green and down to 7 ug/m^3 within 3 minutes. Then, we went to the kids' rooms and plugged it in there. Again, the purifier cycled through the available light colors (as if to do a system check), and settled on a number and color within seconds. In the kids' rooms, the light was green and it said the air quality was 9 ug/m^3! Next, we took it into our part of the house, into the sitting/ computer room outside our smoking room. After performing its system check, the purifier light turned blue and settled on 72 ug/m^3, but again, this quickly ticked down to green and hovered around 11 ug/m^3 as the cats walked by back and forth. *Quick side note*: It is also very apparent that this purifier is doing pretty real-time adjustments. You can see the quality getting worse when pets and people get closer to it (I assume because we are stirring up the pet dander that we have not yet vacuumed up), and it will tick the quality number down pretty quickly when that person or pet walks away. Now, for the REAL test! We plugged it in in our smoking room and, after of course performing its system check, it settled on a color and number, and BOY were we SHOCKED!!! It, of course, settled on red, but the number was at 589 ug/m^3 to begin with!!! We had not smoked in hours, so that was ASTOUNDING! We walked away and left it alone for 5 minutes and came back to it coming all the way down to 89 ug/m^3! After another 2-3 minutes, the light was green and the measurement was all the way down to 23 ug/m^3! I was AMAZED!!! BUT THAT'S NOT ALL!!! My cynical partner decided that it was not enough of proof for him to believe it was actually working, so he he started smoking within 5 feet of it. Let me tell you what- it went from 17 ug/m^3 to 999 ug/m^3 within 2 SECONDS!!! Within 30 seconds of that, it was already RAPIDLY ticking down to better quality - DOWN to 537 ug/m^3; within 5 minutes of him stopping smoking, it was back down to 57 ug/m^3, which I think is great, compared to the 999+ug/m^3! It DEFINITELY works! And it works WONDERS!!! Definitely recommend 100%! Will be buying these for wedding and baby showers from here on out! I places this air purifier in my bedroom. It is a life changing experience! Living in California these past years has come with a large level of exposure to toxins due to the fires. There was a time where smoke was everywhere and the air pollution was extremely high. This little device not only took the smoke smell out of my bedroom but it also helped clear the air enough during high allergies season to where I don't wake up stuffed. During rainy season, which we had this last week, the purifier dried the air enough to remove most of the humidity and stuffiness from my bedroom. Its quiet enough to sleep with it on. When cleaning the cat litter, small amount of dust would be detected and the fans would auto turn up. It still smelled in the cat room. I decided to move and put it in the kid's room instead. Their room has dust balls on the floor that I vaccuum every week. Wasn't a fan of it in the cat room but it is fine in the kid's room. The sound is quiet enough for my kids to sleep through. Update: after less than a year it has stopped working. It just stays red at full blast. It is under a warranty so, lets see how their warranty is. -1 star for breaking Update: warranty worked. Showed videos of the issue and they provided a link that can be used free to send big size videos. Made the process easy. Prompt responses. Delivery was fast. +2 star for warranty. Update: After using the warranty, I have noticed that whenever I make steak in cast iron or cook anything that causes a bit of smoke, the air purifier auto turns red and goes full blast. The kid's room is a bit ways from the kitchen so I'm surprised it can sense it from so far. I even have windows open in the living room because the area the kitchen is in is very small causing smoke to form very easily. I really love knowing that my kid's room air is clean and pure.
