Can definitely tell a difference in smell in our bedroom which is carpeted. We have dogs but that side of the house gets very cold so carpet is almost a must. Plan to purchase another one for the living room. We turn it to sleep mode which reduces the noise to almost nothing and that way when I wake up my throat isn’t hurting from the higher speeds of the air purifier. Love this little air purifier, when I use powders, the unit turns red and works to gather the dustings. Even when I have cooked bacon, and it has filled the house, this little unit is in the bedroom and turns red to work harder to get those fumes under way. It works hard for the size. One of my favorite things about any of these air treatment machines is the declaration of how many square feet it covers. My home is 1800 ft.². It is a one level apartment building co-op. That said there are many twist and turns as we go to different areas of the home and we have them everywhere. So far we have four. I just ordered a 5th for me. I then ordered two for my mother because she has two main areas and her air flows differently in her co-op. We used to use Honeywell’s and had the same model for perhaps 20+ years. This was so practical with filters because we then started to get different ones for each room then they would die and then we have things we can’t use. So I am thrilled with these. We have been using them for years and cannot recommend them enough. In fact, a friend said you liked to shop on Amazon do you know anything about air purifiers? Guess what I recommended this. So I will say that I have been involved in the purchase of eight of these they are fabulous. Small quiet, clear color guiding lights and I don’t know what to tell you. They meet our needs perfectly.
