This is a great net, but you must have some skill or you can miss it. Because the clearance above isn't that high you can't get extremely close to it. The more you need to move back the less forgiving it is if you slice badly. If your shot isn't terrible than this is great. If you slice badly then you may not be able to use this for full swings. It sets up very quickly. Around 15 minutes. Its pretty much a simple dome tent. Be sure the push the poles through completely before lifting/bowing the poles. This will make it easier to get them through the hole. Put the ends of the poles into the holes and bow it into place. If you've ever put up a tent this will be very easy for you. This seems to be well constructed and the seams appear to be strong. The hitting mat is an extra bonus. I would suggest getting a bigger, more stable mat that won't move if its hit. Read more
These golf practice chipping nets are well made and easy to use. I have them set up in my back yard practice area. I have abut 30 yards of area, so I arrange these at 10 yards, 20 yards, and 30 yards from my hitting my starting with the smallest one being the closest. These are great because it's essential to be able to hit your landing area when chipping and these allow you to hone that distance in. No, it’s not the same as chipping onto a green and seeing your ball roll however, it’s great if you’re trying to dial in the distance of the Loft so that you can exactly know where you need to swing for the ball to drop. After spending a couple of weeks with this PPG practice net, I can say it has earned a permanent spot in my backyard. The size alone makes practice feel a lot less stressful. At ten feet wide, it gives you enough room that even a beginner or rusty golfer does not feel nervous about missing the net. The material feels tough in the hand and has held up well to full swings with both irons and my driver. The target windows add a little extra purpose to each session, and it is actually pretty satisfying to focus on a specific square and see your accuracy improve over time. Setup is where things get a bit tricky. The tent pole system works, but the fabric tends to bind at the connectors if you try to rush it. I had a much easier time once I pulled in a second set of hands. The included directions are not very clear, so plan on a bit of trial and error the first time. Once assembled, though, it stands solid and does not wobble or sag. Breaking it down is quicker than the initial setup, although I found it easier to store with the poles partially in place. The included little hitting mat is more of a bonus item than something you will rely on. It slides around and is too small to feel useful, so I swapped in a larger mat I already owned. Even with those minor issues, this has been a great way to practice without driving to the range, and my consistency already feels noticeably better. For the price, I feel it should have included a bigger mat, which lowers the overall value for the money you are spending on this. Read more
