I have a small ~25 cigar humidor that I've maintained for around 20 years. I generally smoke no more than 1-2 cigars a year, and generally smoke as a social activity, so that means maybe 2-6 cigars a year at most cycle through my humidor. I also live in a desert environment with extremely low humidity, so I've been using gel crystal humidifiers for quite a long time with pretty solid success. I'm very excited to add this one to my humidor. First and foremost, it's much larger than the little gel crystal "tubs" I was using before. Each of those measured maybe 1.5oz at most, while this must be at least 4oz, so there's significantly more water volume, meaning this will keep my humidor at the right humidity level for a much longer period of time than the smaller units. In addition, this has a great fit that prevents it from sliding around in the box and makes great use of space, giving more room for your growing cigar collection. The build quality in nice, and I love the way that the lids can be removed from the top and held snugly in recessed little cups underneath - allowing you to regulate how this operates, by say leaving one cap in place while opening the other, or simply keeping the caps accessible for transport/storage. The lids for my other gel crystal containers are long gone. My only complaint is that the unit arrived with a bit of a sticky, wet film coating it - I believe a little gel had leaked out from one of the lids, and I had to wipe it down carefully before first use to prevent the film from tainting anything within my humidor. Best humidifier I’ve added to my collection in years hands down! I’ve tried a lot of humidification solutions over the years (beads, pre-made packs, electronic units, you name it), but this “HUQRXFI Crystal Gel Humidifier” has quickly become a favorite. Right out of the box it’s ready to go just pop off the lid, set it in the humidor, and you’re done. The low-profile rectangular shape is perfect; it slides effortlessly into any of my humidors (desktop, tupperdors, cabinet) without wasting an inch of space or blocking the view of my cigars. What really impressed me is how rock-solid it holds 70% RH. I have three different digital hygrometers in my main humidor and after seasoning with distilled water, all three have been sitting between 68-71% even with the wild temperature swings we’ve had lately. That kind of stability used to take a combination of products; now this one little guy does the heavy lifting and bringing stability. The transparent design is genius. At a glance I can see exactly how much gel is left and when it’s time for a quick refill no guessing games. Speaking of refills, it’s ridiculously easy: just add a little distilled water or PG solution and the crystals plump right back up. I love that it’s reusable basically forever and saves me from constantly buying new packs. Build quality feels premium too, crystal-clear housing, and it just looks sleek sitting in the tray. If you’re tired of fighting humidity swings or want something dead-simple that just works, grab this gel humidifier. It’s very effective, and has honestly given me the most consistent readings I’ve had in years. I will be ordering two more for my other humidors. Highly, highly recommend! Read more

This is a nice take on a polyglycol bead holder. It comes pre-loaded with the beads and they are already wet and expanded. The shipping seals help keep it fresh until you open it. By contrast, some products come with dry beads that you load into the device. That process is very messy. If too much solution is added to dry beads, they keep expanding and can ooze out of, or break the container. The way you know it is time to add more solution is when your humidifier drops below 70% humidity it is time to add more solution. Be careful not to add too much! a little solution goes a long way. If you wind up overfilling it the beads with expand too much. I like the features of the removeable caps. There are two that can be used to control humidity or store the device when it is not being used. The caps remove easily and then store in the bottom so you will not lose them. This is a big device so I will probably put it in vertically to leave more space for the cigars. It should be fine as long as I wait until any new solution has been absorbed. I also got the solution kit from the same company (sold separately) but any glycol solution for cigars should work well. In a pinch, distilled water also works. Read more

I’m extremely impressed with this cigar humidor humidifier. The humidity control is spot-on thanks to the high-quality crystal gel, and it consistently keeps my cigars right at that ideal 70% RH. Every cigar I’ve pulled out since using this has stayed fresh, flavorful, and in perfect condition. One of my favorite features is the adjustable humidity lid. Being able to fine-tune the humidity based on my personal preference gives me a level of control I didn’t realize I was missing. The fact that the lid stores securely in the back grooves is a great touch; nothing gets lost, and it makes cleanup simple. This humidifier is also a fantastic value. The refillable design means I can get multiple uses out of it without constantly buying replacements. A little distilled water or propylene glycol solution brings it right back to life, and it lasts a long time before needing a refill. I love the transparent design too. It looks sleek in my humidor and makes it easy to check fluid levels at a glance. No guessing, no surprises. Just reliable performance. Setup was incredibly easy. It comes pre-filled, and all I had to do was pop off the lid and place it in my humidor. It has a great capacity and works perfectly even with a larger cigar collection. Overall, this is one of the best humidifiers I’ve used. Affordable, efficient, easy to maintain, and beautifully designed. Highly recommended for any cigar lover who wants consistent, worry-free humidity control! Read more
