This is an insulated bottle. That is, a vacuum sealed thermos styled bottle, not a canteen. It's strange that the product page does not state this anywhere. It seems like a pretty typical quality thermos in terms of durability and temperature holding. The packaging is somewhat creative, in that the box unfolds to turn into a game and memorabilia poster. It's... cute, but I really don't see anyone actually using it like this. It's a novelty that makes this more and more of a gift item, I suppose. It includes sticker versions of the etched fruits the bottle is patterned with, which gives something for the kids to play with, if baby has older siblings already. I wouldn't put the stickers on the bottle. The bottle itself is pretty easy to clean. The lid portion with the straw is quite a bit harder to clean. I'd recommend sticking to just water, but a submerged soak in a cleaning solution will help if you use something else in this. The box indicates it's made with food grade 304 stainless steel. The box indicates it's dishwasher safe, but usually you do NOT want to do that with a thermos OR lid... not unless you want it to break or leak early. It measures about 10.2 inches tall when closed. Overall, the value is decent, and the novelty jacks the price up slightly, but it does feel like a good buy if you're looking for a gift to a new and expecting mother. Made in China. Read more
