I am impressed with the quality of this mattress cover and highly recommend it. Very soft, quality material, and dimension wise also its very good. I was skeptical about it but my baby peed on it and the pee just collected over it without wetting the original mattress . Just about fits the mattress properly. I would be giving this a 5 star if it had a bit more coverage on the edges. That being said, it is a very nice protector for the mattress. I haven't put it on the bed yet but I laid it on top to make sure it really was a CA King. I washed it. Because of its waterproof feature, it was really wet & dripping, so I left it hanging in the washer draped over the opened lid. As it dried from the top down, I would raise it up, until it was damp dry. Then I put it in the dryer. I'm assuming it will protect the mattress, but not make my husband sweaty. I'm not telling him it's waterproof! His mattress is t hick to begin with + 3" memory foam + a padded mattress pad, made making the bed a challenge! I'm extremely happy with this protectors ability to hold my bed together!! I have 2 older matress protectors with thick fluffy tops that I'm using to add softness to my new, rather firm mattress. Then I got a 3inch gel foam topper. The old pillow top protectors were holding on, but only by what's left of my hopes & dreams of getting a good nights sleep! This bamboo protector is lightweight (no noise) smooth but not slippery. I love the feel of it. It's smoothness allows it to shift just enough on top of the other 2 pillow top protectors, that it doesn't pull them off the matress. They are holding on for dear life as it is.. You know how some fabrics cling together so much that they move as one, often dragging the one underneath with every move. This bamboo protector doesn't cling to the toppers, so they stay in place, even as we toss and turn on top. It's just brilliant. The deep pockets are amazing! This bamboo protector fits over Everything. (12inch matress, 2 fluffy layers and a 3 inch gel foam topper). It has great elastic to bring everything together beautifully. I have a metal bed frame with slats. So I'm able to tuck the protector in all the way around underneath. Nice and Snug. I can't say that about my normal size fitted sheet. But that's a later issue. I have washed & dried it 3 times so far and it has held up beautifully. I only dry on medium/low heat. The elastic is awesome, I wouldn't want to damage it with too much heat. It's not super thick so it dries quickly! I had to stay in a certain price range cuz I didn't Need another protector, I just wanted one with deep pockets.
