Brought old knives back to life
Five minutes after receiving this sharpener I got busy sharpening kitchen knives that I was ready to throw away. I was using another manual sharpener and the knives stayed very dull. My first thought was “the knives are no good”. But in a few minutes every one of my old knives were brought to useful life. The key to success is reading the instructions carefully. Every knife needs to be sharpened to its own angle. I have a cleaver that was on its way to the trash can. It has a large, wide, heavy blade. I set the dial on the sharpener to the appropriate angle. In a couple of minutes I could easily thinly slice an apple. I have not tried the scissor or serrated setting yet. The knife that is in the gift style box is a high quality bonus. slide it through a few times, and suddenly your knife is sharp enough to scare you. it comes with a free knife! I mean, it’s not like, top-tier or anything, but it’s decent enough to keep around as a backup. Read more
