I like re-usable things. It's nice not having to buy things over and over again. It's also nice having something that you don't feel bad about destroying with paint or glue. You might ask, "How many rags is that?" -- I don't know, yet. It comes quite compressed. You will find that first rag will fight you. I had to tug quite a bit for the first few. They do get easier to pull as you go. They claim the 5lb box has 35-45 rags (sold by weight, not volume). Guestimate 35, and then every rag after that is a bonus! Can you use these instead of microfiber? No. Not a replacement for microfiber, however, if you're like me, you have lots of cases where you don't want to risk your microfiber cloths, but you need something like cotton to work with. These are perfect. These are a somewhat thicker cotton material. I don't want to call them "thick" but think of your slightly heavier t-shirt. They should hold together pretty good. They are roughly 15"x15" -- you do have to stretch them a little to get the full size -- remember they are like vacuum packed in the box. They are washable. Though if you're using them for staining or gluing, probably not going to happen. But if you are using them for scrubbing or other garage tasks like that, you can toss them in the laundry and go again. Any good garage should have a selection of towels for different tasks. This is a great replacement for your cut up t-shirts and any project needing a cotton cloth. Read more

These rags are exactly what I needed for my shop and around the house. They are soft cotton, very absorbent, and great for cleaning up oil, grease, and general dusting. So this was not exactly what I was expecting; I thought these would be uniform shaped and sized rags of t-shirt material, but they are literally cut-up t-shirts put into a bag and sold as a bunch of t-shirt rags. This grosses me out a little bit as I don't know if they're used t-shirts. Maybe they're not and in that case, they're fine but I can't quite get over the idea that they're someone's used t-shirts that were cut up. I don’t know when it happened but red shop rags in bundles shot up in price. So I had to look for another alternative and came across this product. Yes, it’s just T-shirt material but for wiping down tools and small spills it’s perfect and I’m not worried about needing to ration in my shop rags. The price is fair and I haven’t run across any nasty surprises inside the bundle, like dirty or paint stained material. I’m happy that I found an alternative that I can actually afford. Read more

100% cotton washable shop rags. They average about 15" x 15" and are not super thin. Great for working on the truck/mower without wads of paper towels now.
