I actually love this product! It was a game-changer with my presentations and made a world of difference, allowing me to not be tethered to my laptop when conducting workshops. That being said, however, the remote completely stopped working with the most recent update to my Macbook Air (Sonoma 14.2.1). I literally used the remote successfully at a presentation 4 days ago. I updated my laptop yesterday, and now the remote won't connect and my laptop won't recognize it. Nothing I do is working. I've only had the remote a few months, so I'm pretty disappointed. Because the return window has closed, Amazon is no longer offering me the option to contact the seller. I don't want to return the remote (I love it!), but I'm hoping the seller will see this review and offer a suggestion to help me reconnect it to my laptop. Right now it's 100% useless. Read more

This worked so well at first. I use it daily in my classroom, so the quality combined with low cost was a win! Less than a year in, however, the regular USB plug end stopped working. Just to be sure it was the device and not the port, I tried other devices plugged in, and they worked. I also tried changing the batteries, which didn’t help. Not ideal, but since the plug also has a USBC end, I decided to use that. This worked out fine, until I discovered the plug was so hot I couldn’t unplug without a minor burn. It is a miracle that my computer didn’t catch on fire. I am giving the product the benefit of the doubt, and purchased another, but it would be really nice if the seller could refund this original, incredibly defective product. UPDATE: I reached out to the manufacturer, and the customer service I received was great! They responded within a day, and within 3 days and just a couple of emails back and forth, a new device was on its way. I added a star for the excellent service. Read more
