Warm, Stylish, and Soft — Almost Perfect

This cardigan has quickly become one of my favorite layering pieces as we move into fall weather. The color is beautiful in person, and the cable knit design gives it a classic, cozy look. The fabric is soft, warm, and feels surprisingly nice for the price. This sweater is a cashmere blend, which means it includes cashmere fibers mixed with other materials. That blend helps explain the affordable cost—pure cashmere would be far more expensive. It’s also worth noting that the materials used are OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified, which is a globally recognized safety standard for textiles. It’s always reassuring to know that the fabrics we wear have been tested for harmful substances. The fit is comfortable and flattering, and it layers nicely under a coat without feeling bulky. It even comes with an extra button—which is a small detail, but one I really appreciate. The only downside is that the cardigan doesn’t have pockets. It’s warm, pretty, and practical in every other way, so pockets would have made it perfect. Because of that though, I’m giving it four stars instead of five. One more note: this sweater isn’t machine washable. To keep the shape and softness of the material, it needs to be hand-washed gently. It’s not difficult—just something to be aware of before buying. OUTSTANDING VALUE: Soft, Quality Lightweight Sweater at a Great Price

The PRETTYGARDEN Women's 2025 Soft Winter Cardigan is a winner for several reasons, but there is a small asterisk.* The Good Stuff: One, it's really, really soft, delightful against the skin. It has that luxe, silky feel of much more expensive sweaters, and my wife, the Lady Zenopause, reports that she loves how it feels. Two, it's well-made, with good seams and fabric features. Check my pic of the detail of the twill and weaving. The sizing is dead on, too- Lady Z is 5'5, 120 and a Small fits perfectly. It looks terrific, an elegant but unassuming outer layer. Three, the price is right. Value is a ratio of how much you pay vs. what you get, and this easily merits five stars for Outstanding Value. At the time of review, it's going for under $40, which is considerably less than something this good would cost elsewhere. *The asterisk: This isn't a winter garment. It's far too thin and airy to keep you warm in the winter almost anywhere. Maybe it's OK for Hawaii...but keep a heavier layer handy if you're going elsewhere. See you on the runway. Z Read more

This is very large for listed size. I ordered Small, was sent a Mediium, but still large for a Medium. I'll keep it because it's a long drive for me to return it. The sweater is pretty, very very lightweight. The style is modern. It won't keep you warm. Read more
