I love this dress! I wear a size 6 or 8 so I ordered the medium because I wanted the bottom of the smocking to hit at the waistline and it fits perfectly. I ordered the purple and the material is very lovely, not thin or cheap. It is very well made and the elastic in the sleeves makes the puffy sleeves even prettier. It is a very feminine dress. I have a small torso so the smocking was not tight but just right to show off my waistline. The elastic smocking will accent your torso, front and back, so be aware of that. I was afraid, because it was not cotton, that this dress would make me hot- but I wore it all day during my church service (LDS Temple) and was happy with how comfortable it is and the unexpected compliments I received!! It has pockets and is modest in every way. I’m 5’5” and it comes to my ankles. The under slip is thick (nice for a white dress) but only comes to my knees. I wear another slip under it to get more coverage. The smocked bodice was a nice fit (it actually looked too small at first- I’m 140# and got a medium). I love this dress after having worn it just once! I did wash it (polyester fabric) to get rid of wrinkles and found they did not disappear- so be sure to iron it once and follow the care instructions after. I got an 2xl, I am 6'1" and about 235lbs. It got up to mid calf and the sleeves are long. I with the sleeves were a little more puffy, but nonetheless it fits well. Material is a little stiff however after a while becomes more comfortable to wear. Personally will need to add a belt or something but recommend it. I love how it makes me feel Victorian and a bit spooky, definitely an add to my closet. Read more

This was the dress in the pile I bought that I labeled, “acceptable, but could be better.” It looked decent on, and I could have used it for family pictures, but I knew I’d want to peel it off immediately after. I knew I’d never want to wear it again because of how stiff and uncomfortable it was. It’s higher quality than any of the other Amazon dresses I tried. When my daughter-in-law showed up at Church wearing this dress, I knew I just had to have one. Since sizing is “iffy” with almost all brands, I ordered the same black dress in two different sizes with the intention of keeping the one with the best fit and returning the other (in order to trade it for one in an additional color). Well, I’m keeping both dresses and I still want to order additional colors because this is the best style in my entire wardrobe. I love the breathable fabric and that the dress is lined. I’m grateful for the full-length sleeves (all the way to the wrist) and that the dress itself is a to-the-ankle length. The bodice is smocked (Nice!) and the neckline is feminine and attractive.
