So cute and soft—love this chunky cardigan as a stylish sweater for fall and winter! Works beautifully over dresses or with pants. One star sounds pretty awful, right? Well based on my experience with this sweater, it’s entirely accurate. First of all, I didn’t like the style, and I really thought it was too big. I intended to send it back unworn, but as it often happens, I missed the return date. As such, I decided to make the best of it and removed the “ties” so I could just wear it as a regular cardigan. Untied it just looked like an oversized, comfy cardigan rather than a too big sweater which is how it looked on me with the tie closures. Having removed the ties, I slipped it over a white top one chilly afternoon and wore it to a lunch date and then did some shopping. The sweater is really heavy but also quite soft. I thought to myself that I had definitely made the best of an unfortunate situation and patted myself on the back at the end of the day. At the end of the day, I hung it up in the closet where it remained until today. Faced with another chilly day, I grabbed it out of the closet and carried it downstairs and tossed it on the counter while I prepared yo leave the house. When I went to retrieve it, it was laying with the underside of the sleeve facing up. And that’s when I noticed the reason this sweater is getting one star - horrible pilling after only one wearing!!! I’d be aggravated if a sweater looked like this after four or five wearings, but after only one?!!!! This is ridiculous!!!! It looks awful!! I can only imagine what it will look like after a couple more wearings. I understand that a $42 sweater should not be considered high end by any means, but it’s still a complete waste of money.
