Great cozy natural home
My rat loves these. Once she destroys it, she sits in the delapidated mess pulling at it with her little hands and looking at me with the "can we fix this?" look. Depending on the chewing habits of your critter, feeding, and other items for teeth health, these last quite a long time. The rats will nest in them, and it us easy to dump all of the shavings and odd things they line this house with to start fresh when you clean the tank. The inside does have straw like pieces that are stiff and will poke the animal, and this does promote the chewing. Who wants something poking them in the eye, face, back or butt while sleeping. Any naked critters, skinny pigs, or naked rats, this CAN leave small scrapes on their skin, but is not dangerous. My hairless rat just chews off the long pieces, lines it with cotton balls and aspen shavings and she is very happy and cozy. I LOVE this product line. I use it with my mice, rats, hamsters, and degu. I have had no adverse problems. These come in many sizes. Read more
