These are independent and not linked to each other. So each has its own solar cell. They are quite bright but not really enough to light a path but very pretty as a display. They survived our big snowfall and temps below 20 degrees F. Great value for money. Read more

Bright and long lasting
I've had them out in the yard for nearly a year, in Indiana. Two of them have quit working due to the solar pad de-laminating after a year, but I am still impressed with the color and brightness they put off.
