I’ve tried Ancient Nutrition (AN), Vital Proteins (VP), and Primal Kitchen (PK) brands. I gotta say, primal kitchen is far and away the tastiest and most enjoyable of them all. 1. PK doesn’t use nasty Stevia for sweetening! Other brands are far too sweet per serving and use nasty stevia. PK has a mild enjoyable sweetness without being overpowering. I love almond joy and mounds bars. Each scoop of PK has a pleasant chocolate/ coconut flavor.. in fact, without coffee, a scoop or two in hot water with a little milk makes a very satisfying cup of cocoa! (Although, one might add a dash more chocolate for a bolder hot chocolate. ) AND contains 11-22g of protein! That is 2-4 g more than the competition! It adds a lovely creamer to your morning coffee. AND… it doesn’t leave mud on the bottom of your cup like the others! Truly a pleasant experience. Finally, per ounce, it’s significantly less expensive than the other brands! (Although still rather pricey) I’ve tried Ancient Nutrition, Vital Proteins, and Other brands are sweetened with nasty stevia. —One serving scoop is cloyingly too sweet…. (& with nasty stevia…) — The unsweetened/unflavored version smells off and tastes funky and does NOT improve the enjoyment of one’s morning coffee. —- It doesn’t mix well and unless one drinks the cup fairly quickly, it leaves “mud” on the bottom of the cup—either that or one ends up with a disgustingly ‘thick ‘ last couple swallows. This is one of my absolute favorite protein powders! This stuff is like a tropical vacation for my joints and skin. Seriously, my creaky knees are doing the salsa, and my hair is so shiny I'm practically a disco ball. And the taste? Forget about it! It's like a decadent chocolate coconut dream, but without the guilt. I mix it into my smoothies, stir it into my coffee (makes a killer mocha!), and sometimes I just drink it straight because it's that good. I have tried many collagen powders and I think this one is my most favorite! It is very creamy and dissolves very well. Great price for the size too! We put it in our coffee in the mornings. You know it has collagen in it when you get a bit of collagen gel at the bottom, but if you just stir it in again everything is good! Will be buying this again! Read more
This is one of the best collagen protein powder I’ve ever tasted. Perfect for those with insulin resistance. Has no stevia. It’s natural, with no additives and tastes delicious. I loved the flavor of this in my coffee, but it does not dissolve well. Even though I premix it with some hot water, I end up with sludge in my last few sips of my coffee. Yuk! Read more
