My cats made a scratch pad out of my last yoga mat so I didn’t want to spend a fortune but I also wanted a new mat that was non-toxic, affordable, and comfortable. What a beautiful mat! Thick, but yet not too heavy to carry! It does have a smell to it, but it’s easy to air it out for a bit. And that worked after two hours sitting out it lost all smell. So far, no complaints. I think the 1/2" thickness is the sweet spot, at least for me, for both balance and comfort. It's also fairly long, so if you're looking for a smaller yoga mat, this ain't it. It claims to be eco-friendly so that's a plus. However, the text on the mat itself says "eco-friendry material" ... FRIENDRY (see photo). It's no big deal as far as function goes, but I do find to be less professional. Otherwise, this has been a great yoga mat; we've got two! Read more
This yoga mat is only slightly thicker than my old yoga mat but provides a lot more cushioning for my knees. The bag is convenient for carrying it to and from class and the elastic straps make it easy to get the rolled mat into and out of the bag. I like the teal color, too. It stays in place nicely, no sliding on the floor. Read more
