Warm & Heavy Weight 100% Cotton
Jan 2026 - Very cold for Central VA. Turned electric heat pump thermostats down to save $$$. It is now cooler in the house than usual. I ordered some long-sleeve T-shirts from a different vendor on Amazon, thinking they would keep me warm. The material was so thin I could see through it like sheer pantyhose. Searched Amazon again for HEAVY-WEIGHT cotton LS T's. Dug through piles of item descriptions and reviews. Settled on these. Black was the only color in 100% cotton available for overnight delivery. On arrival, the shirts looked good. I washed first in cold water and tumbled dry on med heat. Good, comfortable fit after wash/dry, as expected for an XL. Neck a little tight, but the tail and sleeve lengths are right on. Still, the fabric did not feel soft like cotton should. Back in the washer with warm water and a final rinse with Downy, then into the dryer with fabric softener sheets. I found considerable black lint in the filter (???). The fabric is much softer now, as cotton should be. I had to cut out the stiff tags because they were irritating my neck. Why sew tags in T's anymore? Very warm and comfortable.
