My shoulders have caused me more and more pain over the years. Because the pain has crept up on me is the reason I haven't done much to help myself. Three years ago I bought a wedge pillow as my shoulders couldn't handle my usual side sleeping position. The pillow was super helpful, but even it was limited and the pain I was experiencing was beginning to impact my daily activities. This shoulder/elbow wrap is amazingly effective. I have used it a total of seven times since it arrived and every time it has taken the pain down several notches. It is a bit difficult to attach, especially when my shoulder is hurting so terribly. But usually my husband or son is home to help me. The elbow wrap is detachable and I have been able to finish a few household chores when I leave it off. The endge of the shoulder part kinda digs into the side of my neck so I usually place a wash cloth there to keep it from wearing at the skin. The grinding pain really goes down with the ice wrap and I am really wishing I'd bought this years ago, I can't tell you how many times I have spent my day pacing around the house, cradling my arm, trying to keep my shoulder immobile as each micromovement causes the joint to spasm, pinch and grind. Just a warning, this isn't a cure. At least for me it isn't. I still have a lot of shoulder pain. I still have to carefully arrange pillows and a sleep wedge when I sleep at night and I still can't carry home a bag of groceries without regretting it the next day. I have to completely disagree with the negative reviews. This ice pack is perfect for my pitcher daughter. It has lasted a summer of travel ball and pitching practices and is no worse for the wear. It is not difficult to use or put on (though it is easier with a second person). The velcro straps keep everything in place. Ice packs stay cold for 20-30 minutes once applied. I never pull them out of the wrap... just throw the whole thing in the freezer. For games I have a cooler dedicated to the Wrap and pack it with freezer packs. It is always still frozen (a little meltage) 2 hours later after the game. When game's over, slap this puppy on for the car ride home and you're done icing by the time you get home. My daughter has actually taken a nap after a practice with this thing on her shoulder/arm... it stays in place and it's obviously not uncomfortable if she's sleeping. She's 14 yrs old, 5' 7", 130lbs and this fits her fine and there is room to grow too. Highly recommend. Read more

Bought for my Freshman baseball catcher. Uses it after games/practices. He wears it to bed with a long sleeve under it. He loves it! Easy to use. Stays put. Ices shoulder and forearm. The pack inserts are easy to take in and out. Plus if anything happens to the ice inserts I will be able to make replacements using a food saver bag and water. It works!!!!
