These ProEtrade merino wool socks are absolutely fantastic. They keep my feet warm without overheating, which is exactly what you want from quality wool. I've worn them on cold morning hikes, around the house in winter, and in my work boots—comfortable in every situation. The thickness is perfect—substantial enough for real warmth and cushioning, but not so bulky that they don't fit in regular boots. They stay up well throughout the day without that annoying slouching you get with cheaper socks. What really impressed me is how they manage moisture. Even after a full day of activity, my feet stay dry and comfortable. No itchiness either, which has been a problem with other wool socks I've tried. Snug without being tight, warm without being itchy, breatheable, these amazingly cozy merino wool socks will be comfortably functional for a long time. Can be machine washed, (inside out in cool or warm water... AND btw: Avoid "Woolite": TERRIBLY DESTRUCTIVE on any wool!!!) Yes, they can be tumble dried on a delicate, low cycle. FINALLY the perfect socks. When I purchase these Merino Wool Socks I was not feeling optimistic. These would be style number 3 with my two previous choices being ill fitted and sweaty. Not these!
