This whitening kit is easy to use and the LED light fits comfortably. I like that it comes with plenty of treatments, and the gel doesn’t feel too harsh. The only thing I really wish is that they would list the percentage of carbamide peroxide, because that matters when comparing whitening strength. This kit contains a teeth whitener and a cleansing toothpaste that can be used along with the whitening paste, but is not mandatory. There is only one tube of the cleansing toothpaste and it is the only item contained in the kit that looks a little different than the others. There are enough whitening gel tubes in this kit to administer several treatments across the course of several months because I didn’t have to use much for my treatment. The toothpaste doesn’t have much flavor and has a taste similar to most gels used at dentist offices. It isn’t “spicy” as my 8 year old would say and was comfortable to use. I only used it to brush the surface of my teeth receiving the treatment and it cleaned about as well as any other toothpaste did, at least to my naked eye. I applied the whitening gel after using the paste and flossing. I left it on for the required 10 minute cycles (you have to restart the mouthpiece one time after the light goes off). I didn’t notice much of a flavor from the whitener either, which isn’t a bad thing. My teeth are very sensitive to temperature, and it did not feel cold to my teeth at all. I was able to rinse the gel easily after the treatment, but my mouth had an unpleasant taste and foamy feeling. After rinsing several times, the taste did not linger in my mouth. Tip: wear sunnies or have a barrier in place to protect your eyes because I couldn’t help but look at the light and ended up with a slight headache from it- my own fault. At first I thought my teeth looked worse after using this treatment, but I realized my eyes were seeing color a little differently because I kept staring at the light during the treatment. After a few minutes I looked again and could see a slight difference after using this gel and toothpaste combo just once, but my son said they looked the same to him. Multiple uses will produce better results. The picture with the lipstick is my before and the other one is my after. I found this kit to be ok, but it lightened my teeth maybe one shade? It wasn't a very noticeable difference. I used it every night and tried to only use a little bit of the gel as the directions stated, but it only lasted for 15 days, not 24. It was easy to use - I brushed with the whitening toothpaste mixed with a pea size amount of the whitening gel, then used the gel in the tooth trays with the light connected. I left it on for 20 minutes and then rinsed. I felt like my spit accumulated in the trays pretty quickly and diluted the gel so maybe that's why it didn't work, but I don't know how to get around having spit build up. The taste was pretty mild and not bad. I only had a minimal amount of tooth sensitivity, as compared to other brands where I have more noticeable sensitivity. I would have rated this higher had it actually whitened more than one shade. Read more

I don't know if the kit is truly a professional quality kit. I think it tries to use the same methods as professionals, but in an at-home kit. It is easy to use and clean. After one treatment I couldn't notice any visible difference. After a second treatment, my teeth may have been slightly whiter. But I also wonder if it's because I wanted them to be whiter.
