The “sort of” in the title means it lasts right up until you lose it. Ladies probably have a kit or something they keep it in. I, bring a guy, carry it around to a few different spots. I think I’m going to order a few and stage them. Given that I’m a guy, I’ll really just be reviewing one end of this thing. The spoon end works really well to clean dirty nails. Mine get that way for all manner of reasons. Mostly from gardening, but even from scratching my dog sometimes. The spoon is way better than a pocket knife or a nail file for both effectiveness…and safety. But I’m not telling THAT story. The other end is a cuticle pusher, which after monkeying around I discovered does push cuticles. Why anyone would want to do that is beyond me, but I couldn’t find a nail spoon with a bottle opener on the other end, so this is fine… So I’m giving it 5 stars. It serves a really useful purpose, is very durable, and doesn’t cost much. Read more

The product dimensions are a bit misleading; it indicated that this was 6 inches long, but the item I received was just under 5 inches. I have pretty small hands (I generally wear a S/M in women's gloves) and if I hold this instrument on the grippy part intending to use the spoon side, the pusher side just barely rests on my knuckle. It would have been better to have the grippy part a bit longer and shorten the neck of the scoop end. I would not recommend these for larger hands since I imagine it would be hard to get a comfortable grip. On the plus side, because of the shorter length, if you do have smaller hands and are the type to lean in close when doing a manicure, it's nice to worry a bit less about the end of the pusher getting too close to your face. I also appreciated that the item seemed to be made of good quality stainless steel and had no uneven edges. Read more

Your body changes as you age -- and it can change a lot! We're not just talking about weight gain and old injuries causing discomfort, we're talking about possible genetic issues patiently lying in wait until the stage is theirs. I still remember my Father going to his Father's home once a month with a power drill and several drill bits for grinding things. When I asked him what he was doing at Grandpa's he told me to come along and see. So I went and got a big surprise. My Grandfather had several toes with toenails that were one quarter of an inch thick! Only by grinding them down could he keep them short enough and thin enough to wear shoes comfortably. While I seem to have inherited a bit of this problem, I am more plagued with ingrown toenails which trap dirt which can be difficult to remove. So difficult that I have bent several standard files when trying to get good purchase deep underneath a dirty toenail. So I started looking for a stronger and more appropriate tool to solve my problem. This Professional Cuticle Pusher and Spoon Nail Cleaner has a great tip for those hard to get places. That tip is also rounded so that you don't overdo it and jab yourself in that very tender spot under your toenails. Easy to grip and properly sized for the job, this little tool is far and away the best implement that I have found to solve my relatively small problem. Highly recommended at this price! Read more

My niece had one of these and would creepily sidle up to me, gently take my hand in her, and start picking at the dirt under my nails. Freaked me out! But now that I've moved away, that tiny tool would be super helpful for my toes, and then I had to get my own. (For the record, I never let her do my nails, I always did them myself.) Works great, super functional, even convinced one of my friends to get one. Would buy again. Read more
